It is proposed to engage Sr. Research Fellows and Jr. Research Fellows in the National
Seed Research & Training Centre, Varanasi, a Sub-ordinate office of Ministry of Agriculture
under the Department of Agriculture & Cooperation, Government of India on purely temporary
and short term contract basis for a period of six months only (likely to be extendable
depending upon the performance of the Research Fellow), as per details given below:

Application (in duplicate) in the following Proforma, can be sent to the Director, National
Seed Research and Training Centre, Government of India, Ministry of Agriculture,
Department of Agriculture and Co-operation, G.T. Road, Collectry Farm, P.O. Industrial
Estate, Varanasi- 221106, U.P. within 30 days from the date of issue of this advertisement.
The Research Fellow will be engaged on the following terms and conditions:-
1. Upper age limit shall be 35 years for SRF and 30 years for JRF with the relaxation for
5 years for SC/ST/ Women and 3 years for OBC candidates.
2. Candidates called for interview for the position will not be entitled for TA/DA.
3. The fellowship will be terminated after SIX MONTHS (likely to be extendable depending
upon the performance of the Research Fellow) from the date of engagement. The
NSRTC holds no responsibility for his/her regularization/ appointment by absorption or
otherwise against any regular post. The services of the incumbent shall stand
terminated automatically on expiry of the period of six months. However, it can be
terminated earlier than six months at any time by issue of one month notice if the SRF/
JRF is found to be negligent in his/her work or found guilty of gross negligent in his/her
work or of grave misconduct or for any other reasons as considered necessary by the
Director, NSRTC.

4. The SRF/ JRF can leave the assignment/job before the expiry of the period of six
months by giving one months notice in writing and with the approval of the Director,
NSRTC otherwise he/she will not be entitled for the consolidated pay due to him/her on
that date.
5. The SRF/ JRF will be under the administrative control of the NSRTC.
6. Regular attendance of the SRF/ JRF will be ensured by the Director, NSRTC by
keeping in attendance register.
7. The SRF/ JRF shall settle their claim within six months of leaving the contract and no
claim will be entertained after six months of leaving the contract.
8. The SRF/ JRF while applying for any position /post elsewhere has to obtain NOC from
the NSRTC.
9. While leaving the job, SRF/ JRF has to hand over the charge to the Director, NSRTC.
10. Every SRF and JRF will enter into a separate contract with the NSRTC.
11. The hiring of services of afore-mentioned SRFs/JRFs shall not entail any legal and
financial liability on NSRTC/ Department of Agriculture and Cooperation.
12. The selected candidate shall furnish suitable undertakings before joining regarding
acceptance of the terms and conditions of the NSRTC, GOI.
13. The selected candidates shall be medically examined by the Govt. Doctor/ Authorized
Medical Attendant of NSRTC, Varanasi & necessary certificate need to be submitted
after selection and before joining.
