CAR PARKING AT ST ANDREWS PLEASE DO NOT park on the grass or
block the entrances to the carpark and to the Vicarage, please park in the
marked bays or on Washington Drive or public carpark nearby. Please park
considerately, do not block residents drives.
CATHOLIC WOMENS LEAGUE Members of the Catholic Women's League will be visiting The
Savill Garden for a walk and refreshments in the cafe on Monday 1st February. They will meet at
Our Lady of Peace Church at 1.30pm to share transport. This is instead of our meeting at St
Andrew's at 2.00pm. All ladies welcome to join us - you do not have to be a member.
JUBILEE YEAR OF MERCY Lenten Forty Hours at Polish Church, Slough, from Thursday, 4th
February at 6.00pm to Saturday, 6th February 10.00am. All welcome to watch with the Lord. Call

CHURCH CLEANING Saturday, 6th February at 9.00am. Please try and spare an hour to help.
FIRST HOLY COMMUNION CLASSES The next session is on
Saturday, 6th February from 9.30am 11.00am at St Andrews
Church, Cippenham. When you are next in Our Lady of Peace
Church please take time to see the poster the children have
prepared which asks the Parish to pray for them. Please continue to
pray for our children so that they will grow in their appreciation of the
sacraments of Confession and Holy Communion.
YEAR OF MERCY IN OUR PASTORAL AREA Holy Family have asked 8 people to give a short talk
about what Scriptural stories inspire them to do the job they do. The first talk is on Tuesday, 9th
February at 7.30pm and it will be given by a lady in their Parish who is a nurse. All are welcome.
Also Bishop Peter will be leading a Service of Reconciliation (with individual Confession) on Tuesday,
16th February at Holy Redeemer Church, Slough at 7.30pm.
LENTEN STATIONS OF THE CROSS will be held every Thursday after 9.30am Mass at St
Andrews starting on 11th February. All welcome to make this devotion special during the Jubilee
Year of Mercy.
BISHOP PETER warmly invites you to The Diocesan Mass for Married Life, on Saturday, 13th
February at 12 noon at Holy Ghost Church, 33 Westbourne Road, Luton, LU4 8JD. Praise will start
at 11.30am followed by Mass at 12noon. It has been suggested that travelling to Luton train station
would be advisable due to the lack of parking around the Church. Bishop Peter will give his pastoral
blessing to those couples celebrating significant milestones in their Marriage i.e. 10, 20, 25, 30, 40,
50 years. If you are celebrating such a milestone please contact Eamonn and Paola McMorrow on
07412 151517 or email mfl@nores.org.uk. All are welcome to attend. Refreshments available after
the Mass.
CONFIRMATION PROGRAM For those who have enrolled for the Sacrament
of Confirmation, there will be a Parents meeting on Tuesday, 23rd February at
7.00pm in Our Lady of Peace Church. The Sacrament of Confirmation will be
conferred by Bishop Peter this year on Tuesday, 21st June at 7.30pm in Our
Lady of Peace.
ST PATRICK'S EVENING at St Andrews on Friday, 18th March from 6.30pm.
Celebrate an evening with a traditional Irish Supper of bacon and cabbage,
Irish Bingo, a raffle and music, complete with a licensed bar. Tickets on sale
from next weekend at all Masses, priced 10 for adults, children under 10
free, over 10 10. The proceeds of this event will be shared equally between
Our Lady of Peace and St Andrew's. If you would like to donate a prize for the
raffle please leave in the Presbytery or the Sacristy for Yvonne.
