TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF / CAN YOU EXPLAIN YOUR CV TO

ME?
Well, when I was 17 years old I went to University and studied for a 3years degree in Tourism & Events Management because Ive always
loved travelling and languages. So I decided to make my passion
become my career. (or- I decided to focus my career based on my
passion)
During my degree, I started working in a Tourist Information Office
and in a Travel Agency because it was really important for me to
combine theory with practical experience.
After finishing my degree in 2002, I worked as a freelance tour guide
for two years. In 2003 was offered a job working in a Tourist
Information Office in Madrid on a one-year temporary contract.
Then, in 2004, I started working for my previous employer as a Travel
& Event Consultant managing a team of up to twelve people on
various international projects.
During the time I have worked there my main role has been was to
organise large-scale events and corporate travel. This has involved
extensive worldwide travel, liaising with different key accounts and
international suppliers.
WHY DID YOU LEAVE YOUR LAST EMPLOYER?
I really enjoyed working for my last employer. In fact, I was very sad
to leave.
However, I had reached the top of my career ladder and there was
nowhere else for me to go. So for the last six months I have been
trying to find a job in the UK because I want to progress professionally
in an international environment where I can use my language skills
and experience.
However, the main barrier had been due to the fact that I lived and
worked in Spain. So I made the brave decision to move to the UK to
try to find employment here within the industry.
WHAT ARE YOUR WEAKNESSES?
Sometimes, I find it difficult to delegate some tasks because I am a
perfectionist. For example, if I need to negotiate an important
contract with a supplier sometimes I prefer to do it personally.
However, I know the importance od delegating tasks.
Sometimes, I find it difficult to switch off from work when I leave the
office. So I take my work home with me
Id like to achieve a better work-life balance. I believe both are
important.
On a personal level my biggest weakness is actually chocolate.
WHAT ARE YOUR STRENGTHS?
To start, I have eleven years experience working in the events
industry, dealing with key accounts such as LOral, Michelin, Renaul,
Microsoft, liaising with international suppliers, making key decisions,
managing staff
I am also very self-motivated and Im able to motivate other.

I consider one of my main strengths to be my ability to lead others as

well as working as part of a team.
In addition, I have excellent organisational skills that allow me to
multi-task, working well under pressure and meeting deadlines.
On an international level, I speak four languages fluently, being able
to communicate with people at all levels, all around the world.
