Dear Sir & madam
To whom it may concern:

It gives me a lot of pleasure to recommend Ms. Utkarsha Negi for graduate

studies at the University of Utah. As a faculty in the department of Computer
Science here at the Graphic Era University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. I have known
Utkarsha for 2 semesters. During my teaching experience in Graphic Era University, I
have come across a wide spectrum of students considering all of there personal
qualities. Utkarsha has been my student for 2 semesters.
I have taught her subject like Computer Organization, in IVth semester. I was
also her Lab Instructor in two lab courses - for the subjects like Object Oriented
Programming and Operating System in IVth and Vth semesters respectively.
My acquaintance recommendation for Utkarsha is based on my interactions and
her performance in the courses / labs I was involved with. She is certainly one of the with
her, spread over as being 3 subjects teacher to her, has given me an opportunity to
observe her closely and judge her capabilities. Within this period, she has proved
herself to be a talented, hard working and a brilliant student of my class. During the
labs she has shown her ability to understand a problem independently and to
conceptualize & analyze a situation and come up with a solution that needs a special
mention. This quality in my opinion has led me to believe that she will do well and excel
in the research field. Apart from being technically sound, Ms. Utkarsha has shown a
penchant for grasping and visualizing practical difficulties and this, characteristic
makes her a potential good research student candidate.
She has also shown an innovative nature and ability to think from a nonconventional point of view outside the box. I have seen a keen urge passion in her to
understand engineering concepts beyond the theoretical purview reflecting her
potential for research. She is a diligent student with sufficient motivation to excel in
her chosen field of studies.
She has also shown her adeptness at organizational skills. She has a very
amicable disposition making her approachable and easy to communicate with.
I am very supportive of Utkarsha pursuing Graduate studies and highly recommend her
for admission in the graduate program of the University of Utah.
I very much agree with her decision to pursue graduate studies and strongly
recommend her for admission at your university.
