Doyle, Westerbink take vows April is Alcohol

Awareness Month
LANSING — The Michigan Liquor Control
Commission (MLCC) is encouraging all lo-
cal communities to recognize April as Alcohol
Awareness Month to focus on the devastating
consequences of underage drinking in their
communities.
Alcohol Awareness month is intended to
educate people and communities about the
consequences of alcohol-related problems.
There are over 18 million individuals or 8.5
percent of Americans who suffer from alcohol-
use disorders. In addition, there are millions of
individuals who experience the devastating ef-
fects of the alcohol problem of someone in their
life. In fact, 25 percent of U.S. children are ex-
posed to alcohol-use disorders in their family.
“During Alcohol Awareness Month we
want to draw attention to the dangers related
to alcohol abuse and underage drinking and
connect our youth with resources that can help
them,” said Nida Samona, chairperson of the
Michigan Liquor Control Commission. “We
are making young people aware that underage
drinking can have devastating consequences
on themselves, the people they love, as well as
on others.”
Statistics show that every year over 6,500
people under the age of 21 die from alcohol-
related injuries involving underage drinking
and thousands more are injured. Almost 2,400
youth under 21 die in drinking and driving
crashes; almost 2,400 die from other accidents,
falls, fires etc.; 1,500 die in alcohol-related ho-
micides and 300 due to suicide.

From Snowsuit to Swimsuit
April 6 ask about our Tanning Packages!
Hard to believe spring is here and now that it is, it makes the reality of getting in a swim suit this summer that much We proudly support Jamie & Jodie.
more real! There have been so many days since beginning this journey that both of us have just wanted to say, I Quit,
I’m fine the way I am, because losing weight and getting healthy just plain and simple for us, isn’t easy! BUT, we
GOOD LUCK LADIES!
definitely believe that the end result will be worth it!
DreamLand
Tanning & Fitness
The weight certainly isn’t coming off at the speed of light like we had hoped, but our commitment at times has defi-
nitely waivered, so no question as to why we haven’t had the huge losses we would like but we are determined to
continue moving forward to reach our ultimate goals even if it takes a year or more to do so.

Jodie has done a great job this month of getting 3 workouts a week in, but I was sick for a good 7 days or so, and We’re Hot When the Sun’s Not!!
that has slowed my momentum down.. but I’ll get back in a rhythm soon, I have no doubt! People say that once you 222 N. Ensley • Howard City
really get into it, that we will “LOVE” working out and that you will love how it makes you feel, and you won’t be Next to White’s Bargain House
able to live without it. Well, I think I speak for both Jodie and I when I say Yeah Right! Not sure that “LOVE” for
working out will ever happen, but we know that it is a necessary evil in order to lose the weight we want to lose and 231-937-6610
to become healthy individuals.

In 13 weeks I have lost 15 lbs. and 13.25 inches on my entire body and Jodie has lost 22 lbs. and 10.5 inches on her Declare Your Fuel Independence
entire body.

Well, that is it for now! Happy Spring to all! Pro Pellet
