Class Policies:
1. Attendance will be checked within the first 20 minutes of the lecture.
2. Quizzes/Homework will be given occasionally.
3. A student incurring more than six (6) absences in lectures or more than three (3) absences in
laboratory sessions will have to drop the course and be given a grade of 5.0 (or forced drop if
majority of the absences are excused).
4. There will be 3 long exams. A comprehensive exam will be given at the end of the course.
5. No make-up exam will be given for unexcused absences. Those with a valid excuse will be given
a comprehensive exam at the end of the course. A student with more than one missed exam will
be asked to drop the course or will be given a failing grade if the dropping period is over.
6. Acts of dishonesty will be dealt with accordingly. The Electrical and Electronics Engineering
Institute will file a case against any student who is caught committing an act of dishonesty (i.e.
plagiarism, cheating). If a student is found guilty, the minimum penalty is one-year suspension
from the university.
7. Exam papers may only be submitted for re-grading up to one week from the time the
papers/exam solution were released.
