Duties and Responsibilities:

 Admission and pre-discharge care for patients


 Carrying out of doctors’ order
 Close monitoring and accurate documentation of vital signs
such as blood pressure, heart rate, pulse rate and
respiratory rate, oxygen saturation in cardiac monitor.
 Making appropriate referrals for abnormal vital signs and
laboratory values to the physician.
 Closely monitoring respiratory rate, cardiac and urine
output.
 Administration and regulation of intravenous fluid, drug
incorporated IVs ,blood products and close monitoring for
blood transfusion reactions as ordered
 Preparation and administration of oral, parenteral,, and
topical medications and observing drug to drug and food
interaction and side effects and complications as ordered
 Administer emergency drugs/ STAT medications
(intramuscular, intravenous, subcutaneous, rectal and per
oral medications) as ordered
 Observant for drug to drug interaction, dosage, allergies,
drug to interaction in administration drugs as ordered
especially antibiotics.
 Taking the complete health and drug history of the patient
 Assisting in the doctor and respiratory therapist on the
operation of mechanical ventilator, and insertion of
oropharyngeal and Endotracheal tube
