RF Planning
 Identify the most ideal locations and create parameters for new base stations using coverage
predictions in planning tool (Aircom ASSET), drivetest plots (ACTIX Analyzer), performance
recording tools (BSS Network Doctor Reports for Nokia and RNO Tool for Ericsson) and digital
maps (MapInfo Professional Application)
 Providing 2G/3G parameters for new sites to be integrated
 Design Search Rings based from defined RSCP and coverage requirement, WCDMA application
and forecasted traffic.
 Performs Node B planning using 3G Aircom Asset and Montecarlo planning tool.
 Conducts Technical Site Survey based on the designed Searchring.
 Creation of 3G parameter sheet and scrambling Code planning.
 Identifies 3G and 2G neighbors based on table top assessment
 Performs 2G to 3G parameter consistency check.
 Performs 2G to 3G adjacency parameter audit such as adjacent Node B ID, adjacent Node B
LAC, and adjacent node B scrambling code; to ensure proper 2G to 3G cell reselection.
 Performs drivetest using Nemo Outdoor 4 to verify coverage and performance.
 Post process drivetest log files using Aircom RANOPT to assess and give recommendations.
 Preparation of 2G-3G parameter modification sheet as support on the following 3G planning
activities:
 Node B rehomings/migration, scrambling code retune, and Node B LAC/CI change.
 Supports network capacity planning and dimensioning
 RF Acceptance/Post Integration Optimization of newly integrated indoor/outdoor BTS
 Create BSS parameter settings for Ericsson and Nokia new sites that will be integrated to
GLOBE network.
 Involved in major planning activities to resolve integration and optimization issues such as
Channel Loading Plan preparation, BSC Rehoming, and LAC splitting

RF Optimization
 Daily monitoring and optimization of major KPI (DCR, CSSR, and HOSR) of Region 5 in the
Philippines covering 7 provinces.
 Servicing to customer coverage/quality complaints
 BSC statistics extraction and analysis
 BSC wide cluster signal drivetest for improvement of quality and service
 Drivetest tools procurement for GLOBE Telecom Optimization Team
 Regular recording of Measurement Result Recording (MRR), Neighbor Cell Support (NCS), NCS
Optimization Expert (NOX), Frequency Allocation Support (FAS) and FAS Optimization Expert
(FOX) using RNO Tool from OSS and make recommendations for network improvement
 Performing manual Radio Interference Recording (RIR) in order to have realistic uplink
interference information on each cell and used as basis for the list of prohibited or forbidden
channels and consideration in frequency planning
 Use Cellular Network Administration (CNA) in managing network wide parameter modifications
and consistency checks, creating new managed object (MO) definitions and neighbor relations,
and importing/exporting parameters
 Schedule scripts using Element Management Activity Manager
 Identification of cost-effective BTS equipment type for upcoming Base Station deployment
 Conduct actual site verification both for outdoor and in-building solutions (IBS) in large region
of Philippines and generate comprehensive reports
 Handled 8 Ericsson BSCs (7 IOG20 and 1 APG40 type BSCs, using BSC R10 & 11 AC-A7
Software Release), 31 Nokia BSC3i Type BSCs (using S10.5&11.5 Software Release), 491
