ABSTRACT
Construction industry is the exact place where we apply the knowledge
acquired in academics of civil engineering. So it is very much necessary for a student
to take industrial training in the chosen field to clearly understand the relation
between theory and its applications. The training for 15 days is carried out at ANEES
& ASSOCIATES in Thamarassery. This is an established structural and architectural
design company, . I have been assigned a building both construction sites and office
works for training by the company. The building consists of 5 stories including
basement floor and ground floor. In the beginning of my training site clearance and
planning was completed. During training planning, drawing, analysis, designing of
each part etc are studied in office and site clearance, pointing of piles, pile
construction, pile concreting. Pile cap construction, formwork making for beams,
columns, and reinforcement detailing for each are carefully studied in site. It helps me
to familiarize with the modern concreting techniques and recently adopted techniques
in construction and planning.
