2.
LEARNING
OUTCOMES
At
the
end
of
the
course,
the
participants
will
be
able
to:
a. Understand
both
corporate
and
personal
barriers
to
challenging
the
status
quo
and
to
discover
ways
to
build
up
courage
to
participate
in
new
initiatives.
b. Be
human-centred
in
the
understanding
and
solving
of
business
problems.
c. Identify
"Wicked
Problems"
within
their
business
unit.
d. Be
empowered
with
a
new
set
of
discovery
and
observation
techniques
to
understand
problems
.
e. Contribute
to
the
imagining
of
new
solutions
in
a
cross-functional
and
collaborative
context
f. Apply
a
Design
Thinking
methodology
to
all
manner
of
business
challenges.
Training
pre-work:
2-3
weeks
prior
to
training
delivery
participants
will
be
send
a
self-assessment
and
training
pre-work
communication.
The
participant
is
instructed
to
sit
with
their
line
manager
and
discuss
areas
of
development
and
learning
outcomes
for
the
training
and
to
explore
wicked
problems
to
solve
for
the
business
and
provide
focus
for
information
gathering
for
the
homework
exercise.
Training
delivery
-
2
days:
Approximately
9am-5pm
with
60
minutes
lunch
break
and
2
short
tea
breaks.
Post
training
follow-up:
This
occurs
3
weeks
after
training
delivery.
The
instructor
will
send
a
note
to
participants
to
reinforce
some
key
learning
and
to
provide
an
opportunity
for
participants
to
reflect
and
share
feedback.
Ideally
participants
can
take
back
to
their
line
managers
their
contribution
to
a
project
of
relevance
to
the
organization
for
evaluation.
