What Are You Doing this Summer?


It is that time again! Time for ministries in our Montgomery Baptist
Association to be thinking about summer missions and the need for
volunteers. Here are three ministries who need YOUR help. Check
them out and contact the directors for an interview. Each volunteer
summer intern will need to raise their own support.

Every Tribe Ministries-ministers to the Mixtec, an indigenous people


group who live in an apartment complex near downtown. This ministry
holds programs for 10 weeks during the summer. Volunteers will work
with ESL for children, tutor children and teens, and facilitate family
activities. Interns must be age 16 and up, have a personal relationship with
Christ, be responsible and have a teachable spirit. You will need to
provide your own transportation. Dates needed: May 30 - August 12, 2016.

2. Forest Park Ministry-Summer interns will work with children in


Backyard Bible Clubs, oversee childrens sports camps help with
benevolent ministries and other community outreach. Interns need to be
age 16 and up, have a personal relationship with Christ, be responsible and
have a teachable spirit. Must have own transportation. Dates needed: May
30-August 12, 2016. Contact Donna McCullough at 269-5726

3. Community of Hope-Summer interns will work with children in two
apartment complexes off Troy Highway, a girls club ages 6-12,
benevolent ministries and block parties. Interns need to be 18 years and
up, have a personal relationship with Christ, be a responsible person and
have a teachable spirit. Must have own transportation. Dates are June-mid

If you or someone you know would like to be a summer intern, contact


one of these directors as soon as possible. We would like to have
positions filled no later than May 1.
