Bored cast-in-situ piles:
Installation of bored RCC cast in situ vertical pile with diameter and length as specified below (leng
measured from pile cut-off level to the bottom of pile) using cement concrete having 28th day cube
of 40 N/mm2 (C40 grade). Maximum free water/cement ratio shall be 0.40, maximum nominal agg
size shall be 20 mm and minimum cement content shall be 400 kg/m3.
The piles shall be concreted upto 600 mm above cut-off level

The quoted rate shall include mobilization & set-up of piling rigs and allied equipment, boring/drilli
types of strata from ground level to termination depth of pile including providing bentonite slurry a
casing for stabilization of pile bore, flushing of pile bore, cleaning, providing plasticizer wherever re
breaking pile head to cut off level and exposing pile reinforcement for embedment in pile cap etc a
complete as per specification, drawings and as directed by the EPC Contractor.

Quoted rate shall exclude cost of reinforcement. Reinforcement will be measured and paid under s
item.
Concrete grade shall be 40 N/mm2 (28th day cube strength).

Pile with 500 mm diameter and 12 meter length below cut off-level.
Pile with 600 mm diameter and 12 meter length below cut off-level.

Cutting of pile top upto cut-off level

'Cutting and chipping the top of piles above the cut off level including bending and straightening th
reinforcement as directed including cost of all material, labour and T&P etc. as may be required fo
completion of the work.
For 500 mm dia piles
For 600 mm dia piles

Fusion bonded epoxy coated reinforcement bar for substructures

Supply, cutting, bending, placing in position and tying of fusion bonded epoxy coated reinforcemen
grade 460, including overlap lengths, chairs and tied with wires.
Coating material shall be heat-cured epoxy resin powders applied by electrostatic spray process as
specified in ASTM A 775. The thickness of the coating shall be 250 m.
The quoted rate shall include wastage, laps, chairs, provision of bar bending machines, binding wir
housekeeping, testing etc. all complete.

Piling works (Option-A Bored cast-in-situ piles)

Static Pile load test- Preliminary test piles
'Conducting static pile load test as per ASTM D 1143 or by BS 8004 art. 7.5.5 The maximum test lo
be 2.5 times the working load for preliminary piles (total settlement is not exceeding 7 mm after 24
full load application) . The number of increments of load shall be at least four (4), with a decreasing
down to zero after each increment.

The quoted rate shall include installation of bored RCC cast in situ vertical pile as specified below in
materials, boring/drilling in all types of strata from ground level to termination depth of pile includ
providing bentonite slurry and/or casting for stabilization of pile bore, flushing of pile bore, cleaning
providing plasticizer whereever required, breaking pile head to cut-off level and exposing pile reinf
for embedment in pile cap, constructing test pile cap including materials, excavation, all arrangem
loading, unloading, equipment, jacks, recording of results, labour, dismantling the pile cap after tes
submission of test report etc. complete for the following as per specification, drawing and as direct
Contractor.
Reinforcement quantity for each pile shall be 90 kg/cum.
Concrete grade shall be 40 N/mm2 (28th day cube strength).

For lateral load test:

Pile - 500 mm dia
Pile - 600 mm dia
For vertical compression test (cyclic load test):
Pile - 500 mm dia
Pile - 600 mm dia
For tension/uplift test:
Pile - 500 mm dia
Pile - 600 mm dia

Static Pile load test- working piles

'Conducting static pile load test as per ASTM D 1143 or by BS 8004 art. 7.5.5 The maximum test lo
be 1.5 times the working load for work piles (total settlement is not exceeding 5 mm after 24 hour
load application). The number of increments of load shall be at least four (4), with a decreasing of l
to zero after each increment.

The quoted rate shall include installation of bored RCC cast in situ vertical pile as specified below in
materials, boring/drilling in all types of strata from ground level to termination depth of pile includ
providing bentonite slurry and/or casting for stabilization of pile bore, flushing of pile bore, cleaning
providing plasticizer whereever required, breaking pile head to cut-off level and exposing pile reinf
for embedment in pile cap, constructing test pile cap including materials, excavation, all arrangem
loading, unloading, equipment, jacks, recording of results, labour, dismantling the pile cap after tes

specification and as directed by EPC Contractor.
(The rate shall exclude the cost of installation pile)
