JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
To manage routine operation of utilities and power generation plants, in shifts. In addition, work as team
leader for plant optimization & de-bottle necking projects. The areas of responsibilities include:
Cogeneration Plant, including two Gas Turbines and two HRSGs
Boilers (Fire Tube and Water Tube Units)
Cooling Towers (Counter Current Induced Draft)
Water Treatment Plants (Reverse Osmosis and ION-Exchange Units)
Compressed Air Generation and Instrument Air Generation Units
Nitrogen Plants (Cryogenic Distillation and Pressure Swing Separation Units)
Effluent Treatment Plant (Trickling Filters and Activated Sludge Units)
Emergency and Firewater System
HVAC (Air Conditioning and Evaporative Cooling Units)
Core Responsibilities include:
Implement & maintain ICIs HSSE standards, procedures and work instructions during the
normal plant operation.
To strategically align production & maintenance functions to optimize production efficiency.
To handle plant emergencies without compromising, personnel and plant equipment safety.
To suggest modifications for system optimization, operating cost reduction, material &
energy conservation and equipment and personnel safety.
To head optimization and de-bottle necking projects.
To prepare and revise work instructions of Utilities plant.
Drive continuous improvement by developing and implementing systems that optimize all
phases of the production process.
To train, develop and maintain a well-organized and disciplined work unit which is highly
motivated to achieve short and long term requirement of the job.
To acts as an Incident Manager and Assist Emergency Controller in case of any Emergency
e.g. Fires, Earthquake and other emergencies, etc.

Key Achievements include:


Proposed and implemented modification projects for cost, process optimization and chemical
optimization.
Currently working as Team Leader, on Material and Energy conservation project envisaging
optimization and centralization of critical plant parameters on a single HMI (Human Machine
Interface).
Headed RO (Reverse Osmosis) Polisher Life Improvement Project. Improved per Batch Life
from 55 hrs to 140 hrs.
Headed Water Softeners Life Improvement Project. Improved Softener Life from 300
m3/batch to 500 m3/batch.
Headed Cryogenic Nitrogen Production Plant, desiccant replacement and capacity
improvement project.
Headed the project of successful re-commissioning of ION Exchange plant.
Headed chemical consumption optimization project, for improved and optimized dosing of
Water Systems.
Worked on detailed costing of Utilities sub-units.
Developed in-depth training plans and training modules for upcoming trainee engineers.
Headed training sessions for plant skill improvement programs.
As Shift Engineer at Pak-Arab Refinery Limited (PARCO), District Muzaffar Garh on
Naphtha Hydrotreater, Platformer and Continuous Catalyst Regeneration Units
(March 2008 June 2010)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leading Shift Team in routine and non-routine job executions on Naphtha Hydrotreating,
Platforming and CCR Units.
Facilitating smooth operation of process plant.
Hands-on experience on Distributed Control System by YOKOGAWA (CENTUM CS)
Safe handling and execution of critical system jobs.
Preparation of Turn around SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), for safe equipment
handover for maintenance followed by safe start up.
Studying and reviewing of normal and emergency handling SOPs (Standard Operating
Procedures)
Safe handling of process plant during emergency situations.
Suggesting modifications & optimizations for efficient plant operation.
Preparation of JSA (Job Safety Analysis) for plant non-routine jobs
Monitored NHT reactor catalyst deactivation rate followed by safe replacement of Catalyst
Conducting and implementing audits for improving plant safety
