1 Teacher asks the students to imagine going
around the world to activate students schemata.
2 Students are assigned to read chapter 3 and
chapter 4 of the novel Around the World in Eighty
Days by Jules Verne.
3 Students then are assigned to summarise both
chapters in their own words and identify the
characters and setting.
4 Teacher provides extra explanation if necessary.
