My Ideal School Day
My ideal school day will go very smoothly. The classes won’t be so far apart, the
workload won’t be too heavy, the activities won’t be so boring, and the teachers will be
more reasonable and fair. The ideal school day will be formatted in a way the school day
goes quick, but also you learn something out of it.
My ideal school day is a school day that would begin at 9:15 instead of 8:15. That
school day would have my favorite subjects, such Math 1st period, Gym second two
periods, lunch 4th period Spanish 5th period, English 6th period, 7th History last and 8th
science. The school will make us able to leave the lunchroom in 4 th period to go
anywhere we want to eat at, but we would have to be at school as soon as 5 th period starts.
The classes will all be located near each other so we won’t have to be moving up and
down the stairs to try to get to classes that are far apart.
This school day will also not have teachers giving out homework, and if this
teacher does gives out homework, she would give us 2 days to turn it in and not double
the work just because its two days to turn it in. These teachers will welcome students into
class, plus give us an opportunity to do what ever we want to do at the end if everything
is done, or they could give us tomorrow’s work and we could get started on it at home
then just review it the whole next day.
The ideal school day will give more participation questions to students, and less
taking notes, depending on the subjects. The ideal school day will give students 6 minutes
to get to class before that teacher closes the door and is late. That ideal school day will
not have any tests at any subjects, and quizzes on things that the teacher knows everyone
have down packed. There would also be extra credit questions on the quizzes.
The ideal school day will have teachers that not just say they will throw people
out but actually do it. That teacher will also tell that student what he/she did wrong and
have students vote if it is necessary for him/she to go to the hallway by the students, that
way the teacher could know that he/she is fair. Also if that student is voted to stay and
acts up again that student will get thrown out and detention or something.
In my ideal school day detentions will only be given to people who cut class,
didn’t do their homework, extremely late for school (20 minutes after school started), or
behavior on the classroom. Depending on the penalty students will be timed on how long
they would have to stay in detention. For example people who didn’t do their homework
should not stay as long as people who cut class.
This is how I believe my ideal school day should be. I think that if the school day
was set-up this way that I would be able to learn better, not get bored often, and what to
go to school the next day.
