Welcome to the 1. Quick Installation Guide for your easyDelta 3D printer
The easyDelta is designed to be a very easy to build Delta 3D printer

Purpose:
This Quick Installation Guide provides a step-by-step guide needed to operate the easyDelta 3D Printer.

Chapter 1 - (Printrun)
Download Printrun at http://www.pronterface.com

Start Printrun.

Create Custom buttons (goX, goY, goZ, goCenter, goHome) and enter the Commands below.

Select the correct baud rate (115200 baud)

Power up your easyDelta 3D printer and connect the USB cable to your PC.

select the correct Com Port and click on connect.

After a moment the easyDelta should show connected. Before you start to check the

zero positions of the towers, heat up the heated bed to about 80 C.

click Bed Set in Printrun and wait to heat up.

click the Home button and the delta platform should move to the Home Position.

click goX, goY, goZ to check if the nozzle distance to the heat bed is ok.

If the distance is not correct please re-adjust the related X, Y or Z end stop switches.

Front left tower = X tower.

Front right tower = Y tower.

Back tower = Z tower.

Please use a business card to adjust the distance (nozzle to heat bed).

Now, the easyDelta is ready to print the first job. Heat up the nozzle clicking Heat Set.

After temperature is up (260 C using ABS) you can start a print job via the LC terminal selecting
a G-code file.

Power up the easyDelta 3D printer.

insert the SD card into the easyDelta SD card reader.

select Preheat ABS or select Preheat PLA in the menu.

wait till temperatures (heated bed and print head) are ok.

Load a spool of filament to the easyDelta 3D printer. Please read through the chapters 3-4 of
the Quick Installation Guide on how to load and unload filament.

Start print job selecting your generated G-code file

Hint: a ready to go/print G-code file is located at the included SD card

The easyDelta comes with the E3D v6 all metal hot end, nozzle diameter 0.4 mm.

Printing and heat bed temperatures:

FILAMENT

HEAT BED

NOZZLE

ABS

> 85 C

> 250 C

PLA

cold or < 70 C

> 220 C | < 230 C

Download slic3r at http://slic3r.org

Start slic3r.

Load the configuration file (easyDelta.ini). You find this file on the SD card.

Add an object (stl file) into the slic3r,

Generate/export the G-code to a SD card.

Attach the Filament spool using the spool cirles and fix it with a M8 nut.

make a clean cut

Heat up the nozzle to the correct filament temperature and load the filament.

turn the hand wheel clockwise until the heated filament flows out of the nozzle

Chapter 6 - (Unload Filament)


This step is required for unloading or changing a spool of filament from your easyDelta 3D
printer.

Heat up the nozzle to the correct filament temperature.

Turn the hand wheel clockwise until the heated filament flows out of the nozzle.

Now, turn the hand wheel anti-clockwise and feedback the Filament in one go.

If you need to load new Filament please check if the Filament drive gear is clean first
