R&D projects enable us to subtly comprehend every

CTICM hosts the BNCM, which is the sectoral office

responsible for design and execution standards

Based on the characteristics and

values of the steel truss FDES on the
Inies database, CTICMs eco-beam
(co-poutrelle) tool delivers an environmental profile for a steel beam,
with a different section but taken from
catalogue of standard rolled sections,
for installation with or without shear
connectors.

Our engineers contribute expertise to national,

European and international standards committees,
not only in the context of BNCM but also for
standards which deal with earthquake and fire
resistant design of structures. Likewise, the results
of our R&D work have an input on standards
development.
