The article illustrates the parental perception of quality in early care

and education. The author is objective and fair because it has the important
for their children.
Firstly, most parents reported almost all the developmentally
appropriate practices were very significant. Provider need to know about
childrens needs as they grow up and develop are the most important item of
developmentally appropriate practices. For example, about 53% of parents
said that provider need to know about childrens needs as if we want to
understand about the child, we should know about their changing needs.
Moreover, perceptions from parents about quality early care and
education reported that promoting childrens social-emotional development
as extremely important. The highest ranked as the most essential is to help
children learn to discipline their behavior. This is proven by six of the 19
parents address that if the children can control their behavior, they will be
easier to manage with other children and can work better with them.
Then, family sensitive caregiving practices is important for caregivers
to consider parents suggestion and ideas when caring for their children
(84%) and to accommodate parents work schedules (74%). This is because
parents would like to collaborate with a caregiver about their child care.
Besides, connecting families to outside resources would be easy for the
caregiver. Next, caregiver who is working with parents work schedules might
be hard for a provider to do.
Furthermore, parents rates the culturally-responsive practices as less
important than other quality care practices while the large majority of
parents (74%) did perceive interacting with children in ways that are
respectful to their familys benefits, customs and ways of doing thing as
extremely significant. Caregivers also must be able to communicate with the
families who speak a different languages. It is also would be easier for
caregiver that having a care setting that reflects different background.
I totally agree with author that parental perceptions of quality in early
care and education is important to the children. It can guide the children to
improve the social among the peer, emotional development and cultural
sensitivity. The author is correct that parents are vital stakeholders in early
care and education. Their childrens future whether it is good or vice versa is
base on the choices they make regarding early care and education for their
kids.

In summary, I reaffirm my stand that it is very essential to recognize

importance of early care and education and how it effects to childrens life. I
strongly believe that there are a lot of factor that contribute to this issues.
Therefore, parents should focus on childrens development growth from
various aspect since early care and education is the most efficient
investment for society.
