Farm marches on: A farm near Tarporley can look forward to expanding its business -
thanks to a recent £24,000 grant.
Tiresford Farm, near Tarporley, successfully applied for a grant from the Northern Marches
LEADER Local Action Group to bring production of their Tiresford Guernsey Gold yoghurt in-
house. This will enable them to expand production, supply new outlets and introduce some
new lines to their product range.
Chairman of the Local Action Group, Doug Haynes, said: “One of our main aims is to help
people working in the farming and forestry sector to add value to their products, and to
stimulate developments which will help meet the needs of both producers and consumers.”

Christian centre plan: THE Storehouse Church has approached the borough council
with a view to taking over ownership of its current home, the site of the former Brook Farm
Special School.
In 2006 the Storehouse Church became the sole tenants and undertook an extensive
restoration project in order to return the buildings and facilities, which had been
considerably vandalised, to an asset providing public benefit. These extensive facilities are
now staffed, operated and maintained by members of the church who donate their time and
money voluntarily.
The Storehouse Church want to develop the site as a Christian Worship Centre and
Community Hub. It would be a self-supporting, not for profit, facility with nine housing units
and five full time jobs.

desire for a personalised design experience, want to be actively involved in the
design process, and have an appreciation of interior design.

Field of dreams?
Away from field of play we have again seen a plot of land that could have
been used to accommodate a Tarporley Vics home facility sold off by
Auction, writes Mike Brereton.
The plot was advertised “with Hope Value”. Can we ask that any
philanthropic land owner who has a suitable plot within the locality of
Tarporley to please contact any Tarporley Vics member or any Parish
or County Councillor to turn any perceived “Hope Value” into “Real
Community Value” and bring Tarporley Vics back into Tarporley where they
belong?
