Act 2711 March 10, 1917
- Grant leaves to permanent employees in the form of
accrued & vacation leave credits
- 12 day vacation leave (after 6 months of continuous
service

- CA 490 permanent municipal employees
- Cumulative but not exceeding 5 months
Salient features
1. Leave credits were earned after 6 months of service
2. Vacation leave was contingent upon necessities of
the service
3. Sick leave was granted on account of sickness of
the employee or any member of the employees
immediate family
4. Computation of leave credits includes Saturdays,
Sundays & Holidays

- Forfeited accumulated leave & entitled employees to
commutation of earned leave upon resignation or
separation from the service.

- Commutation of leave credits from 5 months to 10

Salient features
1. Employees whether permanent, provisional
or temporary shall after six months of
continuous, faithful & satisfactory service be
entitled to 15 days vacation & 15 days sick
leave/CY with full pay
2. Commutation of leave credits is allowed
3. Total vacation & sick leave credits that a
government official or employee can
accumulate shall in no case exceed 10
months.
4. Married female employees regardless of
employment status are entitled to maternity
leave benefits.
5. Casual or emergency employees are entitled
to leave benefits provided they have
rendered an aggregate of at least 6 months
of service
6. Leave w/o pay not exceeding one year may
be granted in addition to the vacation &/or
sick leave.
