LIVING ROSARY (Montfortian Way)

October 28, 2015
Opening Prayer
We unite with all the saints in heaven, with all the just on earth, and with all
the faithful here present. We unite with you, my Jesus, in order to praise you
in her and through her. We renounce all distractions which may arise during
this Rosary. We desire to say it with attention and devotion as if it were the
last of my life. Amen.

GLORIOUS MYSTERY
1ST MYSTERY: THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS
From the Holy Gospel according to St. Matthew (Mt. 28:1-7)
After the Sabbath, as the first day of the week was dawning, Mary
Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb. And suddenly
there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord, descending
from heaven, came and rolled back the stone and sat on it. His
appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow. For
fear of him the guards shook and became like dead men. But the
angel said to the women, Do not be afraid; I know that you are
looking for Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for he has been
raised, as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then tell
quickly and tell his disciples, He has been raised from the dead,
and indeed he is going ahead of you to Galilee; there you will see
him.
(Moment of Silence)

We offer You, Lord Jesus, this decade in honor of your glorious

Resurrection. Through this mystery and the intercession of your Mother, we
ask for love of God and fervor in your service. Amen.

2ND MYSTERY: THE ASCENCION OF JESUS

From the Holy Gospel according to St. Luke (Luke 24:50-53)
Then he led them out as far as Bethany, and, lifting up his hands,
he blessed them. While he was blessing them, he withdrew from
them and was carried up into heaven. And they worshipped him,
and returned to Jerusalem with great joy; and they were continually
in the temple blessing God.
(Moment of Silence)
We offer you, Lord Jesus, this decade in honor of your triumphant
Ascension. Through this mystery and the intercession of your Mother, we
ask for an ardent desire for heaven, our true home. Amen.
3RD MYSTERY: THE PENTECOST
From the Acts of the Apostles (Acts 2:1-4)
When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one
place. And suddenly from heaven there came a sound like the rush
of a violent wind, and it filled the entire house where they were
sitting. Divided tongues, as of fire, appeared among them, and a
tongue rested on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy
Spirit and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave
them ability.
(Moment of Silence)
We offer you, Lord Jesus, this decade in honor of the mystery of Pentecost.
Through this mystery and the intercession your Mother, we ask that the Holy
Spirit may come into our souls. Amen.

4TH MYSTERY: THE ASSUMPTION OF MARY

From the Canticles of Canticles (2:10-13)

For winter is now past, the rain is over and gone. The flowers have
appeared in our land, the time of pruning is come: the voice of the
turtle is heard in our land: The fig tree hath put forth her green figs:
the vines in flower yield their sweet smell. Arise, my love, my
beautiful one, and come"
Pope Pius XII defined the dogma of Marys bodily assumption into heaven.
The Catholic Church teaches that when the course of her earthly life was
finished Mary was taken up body and soul into heavenly glory. Although
the formal definition was not made until 1950, the belief in Marys
Assumption dates back to the apostolic age.
(Moment of Silence)
We offer you, Lord Jesus, this decade in honor of the Assumption of your
Mother into heaven. Through this mystery and her intercession, we ask for
a tender devotion to such a good mother. Amen.

5TH MYSTERY: THE CORONATION OF MARY

From the Book of Revelation (Rev. 12:1)
A great portent appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun,
with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve
stars.
(Moment of Silence)
We offer you, Lord Jesus, this decade in honor of the Coronation of your
Mother. Through this mystery and her intercession, we ask for perseverance
in grace and the crown of glory. Amen.
