Materials: video projector, laptop, handouts, crayons, scissors, glue, smily faces.
Lesson Aims: By the end of the lesson, the Ss will be able to:

Expected difficulties: Ss might have problems with the pronunciation of the fruits and correctly
associating them with the trees.

Aim: for students to recognize the seasons and pronounce them correctly.
Materials: laptop, video projector,
Organisation: frontal work
Procedure: Teacher asks students to watch the video presented on the video projector silently and
try to guess the lessons title. Students answer and then teacher explains to the students the lessons
aims, more specifically, what they are supposed to do today. Teacher plays the video again in order
to observe and pronounce the seasons with the teacher. Then teacher uses a PPT with the seasons
presented in the video in order to check if the students have retained in their memory the seasons.
Students try to recognize the seasons and teacher corrects if necessary. They pronounce the seasons
out loud.
Expected difficulties: Students might have problems remembering the seasons and pronouncing
them correctly.
Activity 3: Practice / Drawing activity

Aim: for students to correctly associate the seasons with their specific traits.
Materials: handouts, crayons
Organization: individual work
Procedure: Teacher now gives students handouts explaining them that they have to colour the
seasons. Teacher discusses with the students in order to check their knowledge of the weather
specific for each season. Then students colour the seasons on the handout and if they colour
correctly they get a happy face.
Expected difficulties: Students might not associate correctly the seasons with their weather.
Activity 4: Practice / Cut and stick activity

Aim: for students to associate the seasons with the way trees look in every season
Materials: handouts, scissors, glue.
Organization: individual work
Procedure: Teacher now gives students another handout on which they have some trees. Teacher
asks them to cut the seasons they have drew in the last activity and paste them next to the tree
specific for that season. This way they will make a seasons painting. Teacher supervises and helps
when needed.
Expected difficulties: Students might have problems in cutting up the seasons correctly.

Procedure: Teacher now evaluates the achievement of the lesson aims by making sure students
have a clear understanding of the lesson.
