Dear Host,

It is time for another meeting of The Harry Potter Reading Club! Download these four exciting new
activities at scholastic.com/hpreadingclub.

Invent Your Own Sport!

Create Your Own Cauldron Cakes

Readers of Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone love to cheer for Harrys success at the magical sport of
Quidditch! Have you ever wondered what it would be like to invent your own sport? What are the rules?
Where do the games take place? How many players are on a team? What equipment do you need to
play? Use this space below to answer these questions. If time permits, imagine that your sport exists and
you are playing in the most important game of the year! Make up a story about the game and an exciting
moment in your sports history.

More Things That Must Not Be Named (A)

How would you make Cauldron Cakes? Would you use cake ingredients or something else? Would you
add spices? Can you find a fun way to make the brew inside the cake boil over the sides? Use the space
below to write out your recipes and draw a picture of your finished creation!

Most wizards know not to say the word, Voldemort aloud. In this game, there are lots of words youre
not allowed to say, so youll have to think of other descriptive words instead. To play, read the word on
your card to yourself. Then, try to describe that word to the group without using any of the forbidden
words listed on your card.
