Power of plants
A variety of plants in our diet could provide multiple
protection from various cancers .All plant based foods fruits, grains,
vegetables, nuts & seeds contain polyphenols that show anti-tumour
activity by inducing the cancer cells to suicide or/and prevents their
proliferation. Low intake of vegetables and fruits is believed to cause
19% of cancer of the digestive system.
Fruits &Vegetables.
Berries protect against mouth, oesophageal & colon cancers because
they contain a collection of phytonutrients that are able to strike at
any stage of the cancer genesis. Cooked tomatoes protect against the
prostate cancer, cooked carrots against cervical cancer and dark green
leafy veggies against oesophageal and stomach cancers. Broccoli,
cabbage, brussel sprouts, kale, bok choy & cauliflower contains
isothiocyanate which become bio active when chopped, chewed and
digested lending strongest protection against cancers of the
mouth, throat, oesophagus and stomach. Five serving of raw or
cooked veggies per day is recommended.
Aromatic ambush.
Green tea contains the highest concentration of polyphenols.
Drinking more green tea
may minimise
the risk of
oesophageal,breast,pancreatic,bladder and ovarian cancers.
Spicy protection.
Turmeric, fennel, cardamom, cinnamon, cumin, coriander, garlic and
ginger all have anti cancer properties.
