Comparison:
1. Color: From the samples of different places water only pond and gulsan lakes water are slightly
colored. Other places water are colorless.

2. Smell: Instead of Gulsan Lake all other places water dont have any smell. But Gulsan lakes
water have bad smell.
3. Turbidity: Tap water is slightly turbid and Gulsan lake water is turbid but other places water of
our sample what have we taken for our experiment are not turbid.
4. Ph: pH abbreviation for potential hydrogen, a scale representing the relative acidity (or
alkalinity) of a solution, in which a value of 7.0 is neutral, below 7.0 is acid, and above 7.0 is
alkaline. But the standard value of ph is 6.5 to 8.5. In the above table, only unknown water
ph is bellow that range. Other locations waters ph value is in the range.
5. DO: Dissolved oxygen (DO) is one of the most important indicators of water quality. It is
essential for the survival of fish and other aquatic organisms. Oxygen dissolves in surface
water due to the aerating action of winds. Oxygen is also introduced into the water as a
byproduct of aquatic plant photosynthesis. Its standard value is 4.5 to 8.5.
6. EC: The electrical conductivity of water estimates the total amount of solids dissolved in
water. Standard value of EC is <= 250 Ms/cm for drinking water. In the above table EC of nsu,
distilled and aquafima are in good range but the other places water is not in the range.
7. TDS: Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) are the total amount of mobile charged ions, including
minerals, salts or metals dissolved in a given volume of water, expressed in units of mg per
unit volume of water (mg/L), also referred to as parts per million (ppm). Standard value of
TDS of drinking water should be 100 mg/l = ppm
8. NACL%: On addition to water the Na+ section of NaCl is attracted to the oxygen side of
the watermolecules, while the Cl- side is attracted to the hydrogens' side of
the water molecule. This causes the sodium chloride to split in water, and
the NaCl dissolves into separate Na+ and Cl- atoms. Standard value of NACL is 0.00% to
0.7%. In the above chart, Aquafima, nsu and distilled and tap waters NACL range is good
but other places waters range is not good as the value of NACL is out of that range.

Comment:
From the above matrix Aquafima, NSU & Distilled water are good for drinking as their DO, EC, PH,
TDS & NACL are ideal. So, this 3 sources of water is safe to drink. Tap waters EC is range is not
good but other DO. PH. TDS and NACL all are in good range for safe drinking water. Unknown
water DO, EC PH, TDS and NACL are out of range. If we analyze these three Sources (Aquafina,
nsu and distilled) accordingly we can see that that Aquafina has a higher concentration of PH and
DO level. Also it has low levels of EC, TDS and NACL. But NSU filtered water and distilled water
are also eligible for dinking,
