Travelling helps us see the historic monuments of our country. The Taj Mahal, the Qutab
Minar, the Gol Gumbuz, the Sun Temple at Konark, the Ajanta and Ellora Caves, the Stupas at
Saranath, the Triveni Sangam at Allahabad, Lord Balaji at Tirupati Hills and the temple city of
Varanasi are only a few things which remind us of our historic past. A person who travels from
the Kanyakumari at the southern tip of India to the foothills of the Himalayas becomes a true
Indian. He is infused with the spirit of the past and the great thoughts and deeds of the earlier
generations of people. This is worth more than all the knowledge books can impart us all our
life.
