1 Introduction

1.1 Background of the problem

Ambrocio Robles Memorial Elementary School (ARMES) was founded
early 1970 by Ambrocio S. Robles, the school has less 300 students from grade 1
to grade 6 the rooms also had computers that they use for their lecture. The school
has its own student information system, but according to the principal they rarely
use it since it is hard for them to understand the said system. The Principal said
that the system that they have is limited only that the teachers needed to pass the
student information by log book. The developers intended to create a system that
will help the students, teachers and parents to know the students grades,
attendance and their school activies. This System will provide an easier access to
the students information by using the world wide web.
1.2 Overview of the Current State of Technology
At the moment AMRES does not have an online school portal that
will help them to monito their students studies. The Principal said that it will
benefit not just them but also the parents of the students.
Local : Noveleta Elementary School uses an library system as well an student
information system that they use to monitor students information.
Rosario Elementary School uses an Library system for monitoring the
books.

Foreign : Seouls Foreign Elementary School uses an online student information

system that gives information for every student.
1.3 Project Rationale
By creating a online school portal, the teachers and the
parents of the students will know every detail about the grades, attendance
and student remarks of the students.
