1991 US General Social Survey:

We required to perform data reduction therefore we apply factor analysis because

variable is greater than 10 and data respondents is greater than 50
In our data there are three types of variables available scale variables ordinal
variables and nominal variables I am going to apply factor analysis on each variable
types separately

Scale variable:
KMO and Bartlett's Test
Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin Measure of Sampling Adequacy.
Approx. Chi-Square
Bartlett's Test of Sphericity

.702
668.852

df

Sig.

.000

The KMO test shows that there is 70% similarity among these
scale variables while the sig value of bartletts test is less than
0.05.
Thus factor analysis found fit for data reeducation on scale
variable

Extraction Method: Principal Component Analysis.

This section of communalities shows that the expected and actual

participation of the variables in Factor analysis.

Variables with high participation will clearly join a group while low
participation variables are providing overlapping among the
groups.
Variables with approximately same participation like to join same
groups.
The maximum participation variables in each group are
considered the group leader and help to decide the name of the
group.
