1. Run "Install Abagus Product & Licensing"
2. In SIMULIA FLEXnet License Server window select "Just install the license uti
lities"
NOTE: If you already have SIMULIA FLEXnet License Server for ABAQUS 6.12-3 insta
lled and
running you can use it for 6.13-1 too
3. After finishing License Utilities setup copy files "ABAQUS.lic" and "ABAQUS.l
og"
to <SIMULIA FLEXnet License Server progdir> (by default C:\SIMULIA\License\)
4. Configure and run SIMULIA FLEXnet License Server as service
4.1. Run lmtools.exe
4.2. On "Servise/License File" tab select "Configuration using Services"
4.3. On "Config Service" tab input the new Service Name (for example: SIMULIA FL
EXnet License Server)
4.4. Browse to "lmgrd.exe", "ABAQUS.lic" and "ABAQUS.log" files
4.5. Select "Use Service" and "Start Server at Power Up", click "Save Service"
4.6. On "Start/Stop/ReRead" tab click "Start Server"
4.7. Close lmtools
do not pay attention warning the license file you have selected is not valid for
this machine? continue
5. For ABAQUS "Installation type" window select "SIMULIA FLEXnet License Server"
6. In "License Server" window input for "License server1 (REQUIRED)"

1. Install Flexlm license manager (fe \ win86_64 \ license \ Windows \ Disk1 \ I
nstData \ VM \ install.exe for x64)
2. Copy license file from crack directory to the one created by installer (by de
fault it's C: \ Simulia \ License)

and also create empty txt file abaqus.log in the same folder
3. Still in the same folder run lmtools.exe, put any name into "Config Services"
tab (fe ABAQUS 6.12-3) and
provide pathes to lmgrd.exe, license file and abaqus.log
4. In the same tab check "Use Services" and "Start server at power up"
5. Press "Save Service"
6. In "Start / Stop / Reread" tab press "Start Server"
7. Install product (fe \ win86_64 \ product \ Windows \ Disk1 \ InstData \ VM \
install.exe for x64)

After editing host file, save it, run cmd, type ipconfig /flushdns

2. Mount abaqus disk, Install service Flexlm, goto: <drive>:\win86_64\license\W
indows\Disk1\InstData\VM
Click on just install licence
3. Edit licence file ABAQUS
Change a file of the license: Server 'this_host' replace name to your co

mputer ID 20110609 (without variation, maybe Luba hostid) 27011

It should appear like this: SERVER ABC ID=20110609 27000, ABC is your co
mputer name.
Copy the edited file to C:\SIMULIA\License
4. Start utility LMTOOLS.exe from: C:\SIMULIA\License (Run as admin)
create Abaqus in Config Services
point the way for a file lmgrd.exe in folder 'SIMULIA/license',
point the way for the file changed by you of the license,
point to debug file (imp, do this!)
add ticks in fields 'Use Services' and 'Start server at power up '
Save server ' Save Service ',
carry out Start/Stop/Reread tab start the server.
click on reread lic file
check on server status, it should show available licences. This is imp s
tep. otherwise, no use of installing abaqus
5. Install abaqus: <drive>:\win86_64\product\Windows\Disk1\InstData\VM
Click on install abaqus product
On licence server 1: write 27000@ABC (ABC is your computer name you sup
plied in step 3)

License file works with version LMTOOLs 11.6.1.0. If you have installed an older
version,
you must reinstall the LMTOOLs (Abaqus_6.12-1\6.12-1_win86_64\win86_64\license\W
indows\Disk1\InstData\VM\insatall.exe).
