SA Mike Phill: Yeah, they were, they were moving you out? : Rayann Hayes Yeah. ‘SA Mike Phill: Okay, and | think you told the police officer that the, uh, Minneapolis person, that you didn't’ see the shooting? Rayann Hayes: No, | wasn't, they was, I was on the way to the hospital ***. SA Mike Phill: Did you hear it? Rayann Hayes: Did | hear it? No, | was, when I got in the ambulance they shot me with something ‘cause my ankle was broke ~ SA Mike Phill: Mm hmm, Rayann Hayes: ~and so didn't hear anything. They closed the door and | didn't hear anything. | was just, just hearing the people talk to me inside the van SA Mike Phill: Yeah, that’s pretty much what you told Minneapolis, | think. Rayann Hayes: Yeah, and I'm like, that's why I don't understand why they keep wanting me to tell them. | didn’t see anything, you know, and they tryin’ to ~ SA Mike Phill: How's the’ankle comin’? Rayann Hayes But the news people are trying to make it seem like, uh, he, he, he didn't, he never beat me up. There was never no fight. | don't know who said it was domestic. There was none of that. SA Chris Olson: Well, what happened to your ankle? How did you break it? Rayann Hayes: We were at a birthday party and | had on some heels like this high — SAChris Olson: Okay. Rayan Hayes: and I'm pulling away and | twisted my own ankle. He was on the ground trying to help me. I don't know what everybody was talking about he was beating me up and, it, | was drunk, but we all were really. SA Chris Olson: Okay. Rayann Hayes’ And | fell, like, | just got mad because everybody was making a big deal about i. Everybody's lying making up all these stories. | was just like, I'm just gonna, | know what I seen and what happened, so, you know, | don't know exactly what happened when I left. He was standing right in the doorway. SA Chris Olson: Okay. Did you actually see, uh, any kind of a struggle with the police? Rayann Hayes: No, SA Chris Olson: Between - Rayann Hayes: The police weren't even there. 1- SA Chris Olson: Okay. Rayann Hayes: | didn't even know the police were there. SAChris Olson: Okay. Rayan Hayes: When | was in the ambulance, | didn't even know the police, ‘cause when they took me in the ambulanee the police weren't even out there, SAChris Olson: Okay, so just two paramedics helping you out? Rayann Hayes: Yeah SAChris Olson: They brought you out in a chair and you were laying down in the ambulance, right — Rayann Hayes: Yeah, SAChris Olson: - ina gurney? Rayann Hayes: Yeah, SA Chris Olson: Okay. Uh, so the last thing we need to do is take some DNA from you, uh, if you'd be willing to — Rayann Hayes: For what? SA Chris Olson: Well, we're doing, uh, lab tests ~ SA Mike Phill: Jamar had some blood on him. SA Chris Olson: of Jamar's clothes. Rayann Hayes: Itwas probably mine. SA Chris Olson: Well, that's what we're trying to figure out. SA Mike Phill: *** got shot though, so that's what we're trying to figure Rayann Hayes: Oh, okay. SA Mike Phill: — maybe, so that's the only thing we've got to do. Rayann Hayes: Oh, that’s fine, SA Mike Phill: Just **. SAChris Olson: Gan we do that in the vestibule as opposed to out here, or don't you want us in the house? Rayann Hayes: Well, that's his house. I don't know. He's, he's an idiot, so SA Chris Olson: Allright. Rayann Hayes But that's fine. Rayann Hayes: Um, I've really been out in Brookiyn Park with my cousin, s0, | mean, but that's far, it like Orchard, 60-something and Orchard. | don't know the whole address. Do you stay in touch with her? Rayann Hayes: Well, | talked to her on the phone. She told me you guys were looking for me, but she didn't say you guys, she said the news people, and I'm, like, I'm not talking to no news people, SAChris Olson: Okay. | just talked to her about a week ago and, uh, she said, uh, she doesn't talk to you that much ~ Rayann Hayes: No. | talked to her, lke, two days ago.
