„‟Libérer le potentiel de leadership
en nous‟‟

Huit imporantes dimensions

Rather than seeing leadership as the authoritative powers of

one man, we have an 8 Dimensional Leadership Model (see
opposite) , which relies on each individual‟s ability to inspire
and bring together other leaders to work to a common goal
From its establishment in 1991, LEAD has developed
programmes that inspire people to take a leading role in their Leadership
Leadership
communities, governments, businesses and personal life

“Leadership in sustainable development, preparing young people to

take on the complex task of learning to live sustainably on this planet,
should be the cornerstone of what our generation can do to help the
next generation meet these challenges. LEAD has been at the
forefront of that mission since its inception, providing a sense of
direction and hope in face of continuing ecological decline and
worsening social injustice.”
Jonathon Porrit
Co-Founder and Programme Director, Forum for the Future, and
Chairman of the UK Sustainable Development Commission

Our Vision of Sustainable
Development
LEAD‟s approach to sustainable development
is based on the triple bottom-line model
Economic Issues: green and competitive,
environmental liability, regulatory burden, new
streams of products and services to the „bottom
of the pyramid‟, risk management, reputation,
socially responsible investment (SRI)
Environmental Issues: climate change –
mitigation and adaptation, energy consumption,
renewable energy, resource efficiency, waste
management, recycling, water consumption
and pollution, eco-design, life-cycle analysis,
biodiversity
Social Issues: stakeholder engagement,
coping with population growth and
understanding the human relationship with the
built-environment, diversity in the workplace,
job creation (hiring from local communities),
staff expectations, human rights in the supply
chain

Our Vision of Sustainable
Development
LEAD‟s approach to sustainable development
is based on the triple bottom-line model
