1) VNC Configuration:

Go to the Putty and select one system(DB Host).

Go to the Tunnels and enter the Port

Ex:

sourceport: 5901
Destination:localhost:5901

Then add the systems.

Goto the Sessions and then SAVE

.After save open the session.

Login to the system and switch to Orasid.

Check the available VNC server process

Create one new session:

Then Download the VNC Server and connect to the particular port.

To connect and continue the process

Give the standand password: bss13new

Then open the VNC Server

Open the Konsole. Give SMSAPGUI

After that snap manager will be opened

Then open the Repositery

If you have an old repositry then use it otherwise Create new Repository.

Open the Repositry and check the hosts and checkk the backups of particular profile
Goto the history and open the particular profile and chech the backups

Only login with ORASID

After login open the system and choose the particular profile and then open.

Give the profile Password

It is a standard profile : bss13new

After login to check the all backup Details.

In this VNC server we can check and monitor the backup in anywhere.

2)Creating New Repositery:

Goto a create new repository

Go to Next level

Goto Next

Click ADD and goto next level

Press ADD and it will be create new Repository

Then Click Finish..The New repository have created.

3)Basic commands to VNC Configuration:

Command to check the Available VNC Ports:
Vncserver list

Command to create new port:

Vncserver ac
After creation check the list once.port has create or not.

Command to kill the port:

vncserver kill :(port numner)
EX:vncserver kill :5

After killing the prot check the vnc list whether the port is available or not.
Command to Password:
vncpasswd

VNC is already have Default password.if we want to have a new password then
follow this process.

If you given wrong password it shows Authentication Failure

Command to change the existing Password:

If we forgot the old password give this command , for to create new password.
Because Default password is bss13new
4)Procedure to Sheduling New Backup from VNC:
Goto VNC Server

if we want to have a new backup or tigger the new backup for particular system
profile,Goto any tab login to the particular profile and click to the Backup.

Click to Next
Give the Label Name(without any spaces)

Click Next

In this above screen to mention the Backup type and Retionclass

Backup type:Online
Backup Retention Class: Weekly

Then click next

If we need Unlimited backup to mention the Retention class is UNLIMITED

UNLIMITED
Click Next

Click Next

Dont cahnge anything

Click Next

Check the Summary and click the backup

In above screen Backup was running state

After finish this process to check the backup details the backup is success or not.
