ARTISTS & PRESENTERS
Israel Houghton / www.israelhoughton.net
Israel Houghton has seen his compositions become integral components for progressive now-
generation churches. Flanked by voices filled with joy, purpose and conviction singing over
galvanizing arrangements of music with African, Middle Eastern and South American slants, Israel
and New Breed have swiftly amassed a legion of followers that crosses generational and cultural
lines. And as barriers are blasted away, the sprawling cutting-edge unit has been fittingly graced
with two Gold-selling albums, four Dove Awards, two Stellar Awards, a Soul Train Award, six
2007 Grammy® Award nominations, and two Grammy® Awards.
Paul Baloche / www.leadworship.com
Paul Baloche has written some of this generation’s most compelling worship songs. He states, “I’ve
realized the value of creating personal worship times. Even though I teach worship, read about it,
and sing about it,” says Baloche. “It’s like prayer. We can talk about prayer, go to prayer seminars,
but there comes a time where we need to just “DO IT”. We were created for His pleasure. We
were created for relationship with the living God. That’s the reality.” For Baloche, living in that
reality has inspired him to write some of the most powerful worship songs of this generation. As a
bridge builder between traditional and contemporary worship, Baloche has literally put words in
mouths of believers all over the world. The Dove award-winning artist has had his songs recorded
by Michael W. Smith, Randy Travis, SonicFlood, John Tesh, and others. He currently has more
than 10 songs on CCLI’s top 500 songs performed in churches. His “Open the Eyes of My Heart”
is at No. 2 on the CCLI list.

Phil Keaggy / www.philkeaggy.com

Phil Keaggy is perhaps one of the most admired guitarists in music today. His fans range from
those who aspire just to be able to play Keaggy’s mistakes, to professional musicians who have
been strongly influenced by his style. And in between are those who don’t play guitar, yet find
solace in his beautifully penned lyrics and memorable melodies. Phil’s solo career has spanned
more than 30 years, and has included over 50 solo albums, both vocal and instrumental, as well
as 8 releases with his band, Glass Harp. One of the most sought after studio guitarists, Phil also
continues to sell out concerts all over the United States, with his ever-changing style, ranging from
rock-and-roll to fully orchestrated instrumental compositions.

Tommy Walker / www.tommywalker.net

Tommy has led worship at Christian Assembly in Los Angeles, California with his pastor, Mark
Pickerill, since 1990. He has traveled with Promise Keepers, Greg Laurie Harvest Crusades and
Franklin Graham. He has also been privileged to serve with such church leaders as Jack Hayford,
Bill Hybels and Rick Warren. He has recorded worship projects for Maranatha! Music, Integrity
Music, and Get Down Ministries. He has written over 100 songs that are currently being tracked
by CCLI and are being sung in churches around the world, including “He Knows My Name,”
“Only A God Like You,” “That’s Why We Praise Him,” “Lord I Believe In You,” “Mourning Into
Dancing,” “Break Through,” “We Will Remember,” and “I Have a Hope.” For the last decade,
Tommy has traveled internationally holding worship concerts and mercy ministry outreaches in
places where people are in great need. He has led his worship team to the Philippines, Japan,
Korea, Singapore, Guatemala, Zambia and Brazil.

Rita Springer / www.ritaspringer.com

Rita has been playing the piano since she was 11 years old. She began lessons not with a desire
to write songs or lead worship but because she was jealous of an older sister who was taking
lessons and she wanted them as well. Music had always caused a stirring in Rita, as did poetry
and drama. It was in those early years that she realized the keys of a piano were like a secret
island she could escape to and later she would dream of them as the literal shoulder of God.
Rita learned the value of true worship on those piano keys. The hidden melodies begin to reveal
themselves to her as life and its balancing act progressed. She started writing songs soon after
her father’s death and came to find a deep respect for the art of linking lyric and rhythm together.
Since the mid-90’s, she has recorded several worship albums, working with producers like
Nathan Nockels, David Ruis and Andy Piercy. In 2008 she began a worship school called DIVE.
(Deep-Innovative-Vertical-Expression)

newworldson / www.newworldson.com
Armed with inspirational lyrics and world class musicianship, NEWWORLDSON rescues
soul music from being a mere genre and returns the art form to its sacred roots. Singer Joel
Parisien says “if you trace back the roots of ‘roots’ music, of ‘soul’ music, of ‘folk’ music,
it’s about folks; it’s social music. We hope our fans become our family. We hope they leave
our shows feeling inspired. Our ministry is about uplifting people.” With the force of an
orchestra, Josh Toal (guitar, vocals), Rich Moore (bass, vocals), Mark Rogers (drums) and
Parisien (vocals, keys) come together to form a revolutionary four-piece gospel combo.

Brenton Brown / www.brentonbrown.com

A gifted songwriter and musician, Brenton has written many worship songs, including “Everlasting
God,” “Lord, Reign in Me,” “All Who Are Thirsty,” and “Hallelujah (Your Love is Amazing).”
Everlasting God was released with Survivor and with Sparrow in the States. In 2005 the Browns
reluctantly left London and their home church of Holy Trinity Brompton for California. Since then
they have been welcomed into the Horizon family of churches and have traveled across the States
and beyond leading worship in churches as far afield as Sweden and Korea. 2008 saw the arrival of
a baby daughter called Bella, and Brenton’s second solo project, ‘Because of Your Love.’ Brenton
has been lucky enough to have his songs recorded by Chris Tomlin and Lincoln Brewster. He has 5
songs in CCLI’s top 100. Brenton’s current radio single, “Adoration” has been gaining momentum
as another congregational favorite.

Relevant Worship / www.relevantworshipmusic.com
Relevant’s vision is that the Spirit of God and revival would take over the church;
that we would carry Jesus’ message of life, hope and forgiveness to a city that
has been told for years that it is dead, hopeless and forgotten. We want to love
the community through prayer and service – bless the church and unite the
body of Christ in worship. It’s breaking every denominational line. Spurring
one another on. Lifting up the name of Christ inside the church, as well as in
the streets. Rallying the church to action. Loving one another and also loving
the ‘unlovely.’
