Dance 3 Film Project

Project Outcome: A group of 4 students will create a film project of at least a minute
and a half of Choreography. Another group will help film the project so all members
of the group will be dancing in the piece.
Project Criteria:
1

Layout:
Section A: Solos based on a certain Body part
Section B: Partner Work Duet
Section C: Entire group decides what the choreography in this section will be.
It can include: a prop, object, continuing on with the idea of body parts or
group weight bearing.

Filming the Project:

A. Students will create a scene by scene story board of what shots will be
used in the film. A minimum of three different Angles is Required. A
description of Camera Angles will be written for each scene so the person
filming can switch the angle of the camera at the proper time in the scene.
We will not be able to edit them so this film has to be taken in one shot. This
sheet of paper will be given to you along with a vocabulary sheet of the
Camera Angles.
B. Students will pick a location to film them around the school.
C. Students will pick a song to do their project to
