What’s Happening Around Town
Our last month of school is already here!
Does it seem possible to you? As we begin to
wind down the end of the school year, I’ve been
encouraged and comforted by Galatians 6:9. It
says, “Be ye not weary in well doing for in due
season ye shall reap if ye faint not.” Indeed we
cannot become weary for the same passage of
Scripture says we will reap what we sow, and
the last month will packed with opportunities
to learn and to make the head knowledge heart
knowledge! The students and I covet your
prayers and encouragement on the last leg of
our journey together!
I have enjoyed reflecting on the students’
growth this week in a variety of areas! They
have done an outstanding job learning and memo-
rizing the addition fact families one through sev-
en. The speed with which they solve the
problems is increasing day by day, and they have
also become more adept at adding nickels and
pennies! They are also doing a nice job of read-
ing smoothly and steadily with expression during
reading circles! I am also pleased to see their
interest in reading other materials like their joke
books, our weekly Bible verse, and our pledges.
Their social, emotional, and spiritual growth has
also been evident this week. I am so pleased to
see students wearing self-control when walking
down the hall and doing their work! They are
learning to put others first and extend kindness
and forgiveness to their enemies! No, we haven’t
arrived at perfection, but I hope you, too, are
encouraged by your child’s growth this year!

Answers to Questions on the Ranch
A: Kindergarten graduation will be held on Fri-
day, May 28th at 8:30 a.m.! All family members,
friends, and special guests are invited to join us
as we celebrate a year of growth by God’s
grace! Miss Brenner and I have put together a
program that we anticipate will last about 45
minutes to an hour. Our ceremony will present
many “snapshot” opportunities, so bring your
camera! Following graduation, we will have a
reception for the students, and then they are
free to begin summer vacation!
A: Track and Field Day has been moved from
Friday, May 14 to Friday, May 21! An additional
change this year will be in the location. We will
walk from school to Hawkeye Park, which is
located right by the fire station on First Street.
We are in need of volunteers who would be will-
ing to help with a variety of different needs in
preparation for Track and Field Day as well as
the day of our outing.
This special day is an opportunity for the
students to participate in a variety of activities
and games and do their best for God’s glory! It
is a fun and exciting day of action, and we
would love for you to join us! There will be
more information forthcoming in the days
ahead, but if you are interested in helping in
any way, please let me know. I will get you more
information as the date approaches! Also,
please begin to pray for beautiful weather and
safety for all involved!
 Spotlighting Students and Volunteers
The Casady family provided treats this
week, and the students really enjoyed them! I
was especially pleased to see the kids eager to
receive and eat fruit! Almost everyone had
firsts and desired seconds! Thank you for the
delicious snacks!
I wish to express my gratitude to ALL the
families who have graciously provided snacks
throughout the year! I trust God will richly
reward you for your generosity in sharing! I
cannot express how thankful for your willing-
ness to carry this responsibility for me this
year!
We have several snacks to finish up, which
we will do the last couple of weeks. If you
feel the urge to send a special little snack
some day, please feel free to do so! We will do
our best to finish up what we have right now!

A Bible Course Map for the Upcoming Week
Monday, May 3 - The Rich Young Ruler (Matt.
19:16-30; Mark 10:17-31; Luke 18:18-30) A rich,
young ruler came to Jesus, and he asked Him,
“What must I do to get to heaven?” Jesus shared
the Ten Commandments with the young man to
show him he was a sinner in need of a Savior.
The young man claimed he followed all of the
commands, but Jesus, knowing his heart, told
him to sell all he had and give the money to the
poor. Jesus knew the ruler loved money and wor-
shiped money rather than God. The ruler went
away sad, and Jesus shared with the disciples the
truth that He is the only way to heaven. Those
who yield to Him, will be richly rewarded!

Wednesday, May 5 - Friends at Bethany - Part 2
(Matt. 26:6-13; Mk. 14:3-9; Jn. 11:1-46) While Jesus
visited with them, Martha busied herself with
work. Mary, however, sat at Jesus’ feet and talk-
ed with Him. Though Martha was frustrated
with Mary for failing to help, Jesus commended
Mary for wanting to listen and learn from Him!
Thursday, May 6 - Review of previous lesson.
Friday, May 7 - Friends at Bethany - Part 3 (Mk.
14:3-9; Jn. 11:1-46) Mary and Martha’s brother,
Lazarus, became ill. The women sent word to
Jesus, but before He came, Lazarus died. Jesus
came to comfort His friends three days later,
and Mary bows before Him, asking Him to heal
her brother. Jesus, God’s own Son, raises La-
zarus from the dead, showing His mighty power.
