Dubai is one of the greatest economies of the world that has flourished at a brick rate. Dubai has
a very liberal and lavish economic policy, which results into triggering a very fast development
and economic growth as stated by (Schmid and Stewart)
After Olympics and the World Cup, Expo is the third biggest event in the world. This time Dubai
is hosting Expo 2020 which is a global event and will provide economic perks and benefits.
(Irwin and Shukurov) stated that these benefits may include enhancement in infrastructure and
construction facilities, increased inflow of currency in the form of spending from tourists who
will be visiting the event along with many other benefits which will have a very positive impact
on the economy.
Dubai will attract a huge amount of foreign investment during this event and will have a great
and substantial development in the main economic sectors like Hospitality, Tourism, Financial

It is an estimate that roughly 182 countries and companies will participate in Dubai Expo 2020.
Approximately 25 million tourists will visit the expo over a period of six months. This expo
presents the world with a platform which brings together companies and businesses across the
globe and provides them with the opportunity to share ideas and innovations. This expo will act
as a catalyst for economic growth of Dubai.
Jones Day a famous analyst stated that this event is expected to generate $23 billion for the
emirate. There will be 277,000 new jobs in the UAE due to Dubai Expo 2020. These jobs will be
in different sectors which include construction, retail, hotel industry, and transportation.

It was a dream for many countries to host the Expo 2020 but it is Dubai that got this opportunity.
This Expo definitely has the potential to result in enhancing the foreign and will attract many
new businesses and investment opportunities towards UAE. The Dubai government has
announced that work will start during the start of next year on the Expo site. (Jonesday.com)
As stated by (Davidson) Dubais success story is very remarkable and Expo 2020 will be proven
as a milestone in the economic growth of Dubai.
