WHO SHOULD COMPLETE THIS FORM?
The Tier 4 Doctorate Extension Scheme is for students who are studying for a doctorate level
qualification. At the University of Edinburgh, students who are studying the following programmes can
apply for this visa route:

Dr of Divinity
DDS Dental Surgery
D Psychotherapy and Counselling
PhD
DSc
DVMS Veterinary Medicine
EdD (Doctor of Education)
EngD
LLD Law
MD Medicine
DPsychotherapy Psychotherapy and Counselling (Interpersonal Dialogue) - 3 Years

WHEN SHOULD I COMPLETE THIS FORM?

You should complete this form and submit it to the International Student Advisory Service once you have
completed and passed your viva voce exam AND agreed the date for the final submission of your thesis.
NOTE: You must submit the form and your visa application BEFORE you submit your thesis.
