Official Rules for the Americans for Prosperity New Jersey

April Day of Action Phone Bank Contest


April 16, 2016
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS
CONTEST. A purchase will not improve chances of winning.
Rules for Contest: By participating in this Contest, Participants agree to be bound by these
Official Rules and the final decision of the Contest. Decisions by Americans for Prosperity
(AFP) are binding and final in every respect.
Eligibility: Americans for Prosperitys New Jersey Phone Bank Contest is open to all legal U.S.
residents physically residing in New Jersey. Participants must be at least the age of fourteen (14)
years old. This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Void where
prohibited.
PERSONS WHO ARE MINORS (GENERALLY, UNDER THE AGE OF 18) SHOULD GET
THE PERMISSION OF THEIR PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN PRIOR TO ENTERING
THE CONTEST. BY PARTICIPATING, YOU (IF A MINOR, YOUR PARENT OR LEGAL
GUARDIAN) AGREE TO THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND ALL DECISIONS OF SPONSOR,
WHICH ARE FINAL AND BINDING IN ALL RESPECTS. IF MINOR IS THE WINNING
PARTICIPANT IN THE CONTEST, THE PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN OF MINOR
MUST EXECUTE A RELEASE ON BEHALF OF MINOR TO USE THE PRIZE.
To participate in this Contest, participants must appear and register during the Contest Period at
the designated AFP contest location. The winners will be the top individual who makes the most
phone calls through the AFP phone bank during the duration of the contest.
A Participant is limited to one prize from AFP from this Contest and any other simultaneous
AFP Contest. Employees, contractors, subcontractors, agents, board members, and any other
individuals otherwise compensated by AFP or any of its affiliates or subsidiaries and the
immediate family members of those individuals are not eligible to participate in this AFP
Contest. In no event will Sponsor be liable for more prizes than outlined in the Contest
Details. Prizes are non-transferable and non-negotiable. There is no purchase necessary to
participate in this Contest.
AFP is not responsible for any problems, bugs, or malfunctions that Participants may encounter
when participating in this Contest with its related technology.
There is an available prize for this Contest, and the odds of winning this Contest are dependent
solely on the number of participants and their performance.
Contest Period: The Contest Period will be from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM on April 16, 2016.

Contest Details: Eligible participants will be asked to make phone calls in the state of New
Jersey and complete surveys during the time-frame of this Contest. The Participant who receives
the most valid, completed surveys as determined by a review of AFPs records and in accordance
with the rules of this Contest will receive a prize as outlined below. AFP, in its sole discretion,
will determine the validity of all data entries made by the Participants.
Consumer Disclosure: The prize to be awarded is 1 ticket to Young Americas Foundations NJ
Reagan Day (Value: $50). This is the only prize that will be awarded under this Contest and may
not be substituted or exchanged for any other prize or redeemable for cash.
Selection of Winners: Each winner will be selected only from among the eligible Participants.
AFP will review the data input by the individuals to determine which Participant has made the
most total phone calls during the Contest Period. Falsification of data at any point during this
Contest will result in the disqualification of the Participant.
Publicity: Sponsor reserves the right to use for publicity purposes prior to, during, or after the
Contest Period, in any media, the individuals names, any likenesses, and city names throughout
the world, in perpetuity, without any compensation or prior review, unless specifically prohibited
by law.
Taxes: It is the sole responsibility of the winning Participants to pay any federal, state, and local
taxes in connection with the prize.
Privacy Policy: Participating Organizations membership information will be handled in
compliance with AFPs Privacy Policy (http://americansforprosperity.org/privacy-policy) and
Terms of Use Policy (http://americansforprosperity.org/terms-of-use)
Limitation of Liability, Governing Law, and Venue: Participants agree to indemnify, defend,
and hold harmless Sponsor from any loss, liability, damage, or costs, including court costs and
legal fees, which result from the participants involvement and participation in the Contest or
receipt or use of the prize. In no event shall AFP be liable to participants for special, indirect,
incidental, or consequential damages, including without limitation, loss of use of profits,
regardless of whether such damages are caused or allegedly caused by breach of contract, tort or
otherwise (including negligent or willful act or omission, warranty, indemnity, or strict
liability). This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia
without regard for conflict of laws doctrine. Participant agrees that any legal action arising in
connection with the Contest, whether in tort, contract, or otherwise, shall be heard exclusively in
the courts of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Waiver of Jury: As a condition of participating in this Contest, each participant hereby
irrevocably and perpetually waives any right that he or she may have to a trial by jury in respect
of any litigation directly or indirectly arising out of, under, or in connection with the Contest, any
document or agreement entered into in connection with the Contest, any prize available through
the Contest, and any of the transactions contemplated related to the Contest.

Termination: Sponsor reserves the right, in their sole discretion, to cancel, modify, or suspend
the Contest at any time.
Trademark: Young Americas Foundation is a trademark of Young Americas Foundation.
Americans for Prosperity is a registered trademark of Americans for Prosperity Foundation. All
rights reserved. This contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated
with Young Americas Foundation.
