ACROPOLIS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY

ARMAGEDDON 2010 WarFare

WarFare invites research papers in various areas of engineering. We invite novel ideas that
propose ways to solve scientific problems. The submissions will be judged on originality,
simplicity, clarity of objectives, review of existing literature, methodology, findings and analysis,
conclusions, applications and limitations.

PHASE I – ABSTRACT SUBMISSION ROUND


(Only Online softcopy permitted)

1. Abstract should be in approximately 300 words and must be in format provided in 6th point
which must contain entire summary of paper, results and conclusion.
2. Heading of second page must be the topic (Font size - 14) on which you are going to present
your paper.
3. Abstract should be in one column, single space format, with one and half line spacing. Font –
Times New Roman, Size – 12.
4. Page setup
• Paper size: A4
• Top Margin: 1”, Bottom: Margin 1”, Left: Margin 1”, Right: Margin 1”.
5. Should be submitted in .doc, .docx or .pdf format and attached with the mail.
6. Abstract format can be downloaded from here(pdf and doc).
7. Abstract should be mailto: paper@armageddon.in latest by 4th May 2010

Format of E-mail

1. The mail should have its subject as “Category Code” which are mentioned along with
your area of interest. For e.g. If you are presenting paper under Information Technology
subject of mail should be ‘CS’ only not more than that otherwise your mail will go in
junk.
2. The body should contain the topic of interest, name of paper, abstract, author(s) name, e-
mail ID(s), Name of institute(s) ,mobile number(s)
3. The abstract should be a .doc, .docx or .pdf document attachment.

Selected teams’ Armageddon Paper Presentation registration number will be displayed on


website so keep checking it.

PHASE II – FULL PAPER SUBMISSION AND


AUTHENTICATION
In this phase participants are required to submit their full paper and authentication letter.
Guidelines for paper

• Neatly typed on single side of A4 size paper.


• The full paper should be as per following specifications.
• Line spacing : 1.5
• All side edge margins: 1 inch
• Main Title: All capital, bold, centre–aligned, Times New Roman-16.
• Sub Title: All capital, bold, left justified, Times New Roman-14.
• Text: Times New Roman -12 justified.
• Maximum 10 pages including diagrams, tables, etc.
• Must be in .doc or .pdf format
Guidelines for Poster
• The Poster size must be DIN A0 (120cm high x 84cm wide) and it should have a white
background. Please ensure the font size is large enough to enable easy reading from a
distance. Use photos, figures, graphs and tables rather than text wherever possible.
• It should be prepared earlier and must be completely handmade.
• It should be creative and must completely describe the topic.
• Materials to fix your poster on the board will be provided on site.
• It SHOULD NOT contain any PRINTED ITEMS from the net.

PHASE III – PAPER PRESENTATION (On campus)


Guidelines for this round will be sent to the selected candidates through an email.

GENERAL RULES:
1. The team size can be a maximum of 2 members.

2. Any number of teams from a college can submit their papers.

3. Participants should have a valid identity card of their respective institute.

4. Qualifying participants will have to make a presentation before a panel of judges explaining
the salient points of their idea/innovation.

5. Directly copying from the internet is strictly prohibited.

6. Patents and copyrights of any kind should not be violated.

7. The last date of abstract submission is 2nd May 2010.

8. The shortlisted abstracts will be notified about their selection by 2nd may 2010.

9. The teams short listed will be invited to AITR, Indore to make their presentation during
Armageddon 2010. They will have to submit their full paper during the event.

10. The organizers reserve all rights to change any or all of the above rules as they deem fit. All
changes will be highlighted on the website and registered participants shall be informed by
email.

11. The decision of the jury will be final and binding.

12. The selected candidates should bring their abstracts and full report in a CD.

REGISTRATION FEES:
The selected abstracts will have to pay a registration fee Rs/-100 for participating in this event.

This fee will be collected on the spot.

TIME SPECIFICATION:
* 10 min for presentation including Poster Presentation, 2 min judges and audience question
round.
TECHICAL SUPPORT:
* L C D projector, a white board and a marker will be provided for presentation.

* Presentation should be in windows 97-03, 2007 format.

CERTIFICATION POLICY
Certificate of Excellence/ Merit/ Participation will be awarded.
