Networking Manual:
For IS professionals/Network
Administrators

TRUMPF Network Setup (TOS)

About the Manual

This is the TRUMPF Operating System Setup Manual. In this
manual, you will learn the steps necessary to network the TRUMPF
machine to a customer network using screens/interface from the
TRUMPF Operating System (TOS) instead of Windows NT desktop.
The TRUMPF Operating System allows the operator to call up
network setup functions and auxiliary programs without using the
Windows NT interface.
When the machine is turned on, TOS starts automatically and then it
runs in the background. Without further actions on the part of the
operator, the machine's User Interface will start after five seconds on
the control panel while TOS remains in the background. By pressing
the ALT + TAB keys, the TRUMPF Operating System (TOS) can be
brought to the foreground.

Goal
To allow the network administrator or IT professionals to use the
functions in the TRUMPF Operating System (TOS) to configure the
network.

Audience
The document presented here is designed for the I.S. professional.
This document is not a training manual for the casual user. Certain
knowledge must be acquired prior to reading this manual in order for
the information to be used successfully. It is highly recommended by
TRUMPF to enlist the aid of a Networking consultant before
continuing.
