In terms of orders issued by the Government of Telangana State and the proceedings
by Telangana State Council of Higher Education, Hyderabad, online applications are
invited for appearance at the TS Law Common Entrance Test for admission into 1st
year LLB (3YDC & 5YDC) and LL.M Course for the academic year 2016-2017 in
the following universities and their affiliated colleges
1 Kakatiya University (KU), 2. Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU), 3. Osmania
University (OU), 4. Palamur University (PU), 5. Satavahana University (SU), 6.
Telangana University (TU).
INSTRUCTIONS CONCERNING ENTRANCE TEST
1. Eligibility for Appearance at the TSLAWCET / TSPGLCET 2016
a) The candidates should be Indian Nationals and should satisfy local/non-local
status requirements laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions
(Regulations of Admission) Order, 1974 as amended up to date (as per G.O. Ms.
No. 26, dt: 24.03.2004 and its amendments).
b) The candidates other than Indian Nationals should satisfy the rules of the
Universities concerned.
c) The candidates seeking admission in to
LLB 3 Year Course: The candidate should have passed Degree Examination of
minimum three years duration(10+2+3 pattern)of a recognized University with at
least 45% marks of aggregate marks (40% marks in case of SC/ST categories) in
the qualifying examination. If any candidate secured less than 45% in graduation,
he should have passed any additional graduation or Post Graduation with 45%
marks.

LL.B 5 year course: The candidate should have passed two year Intermediate
Examination(10+2 pattern) with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of SC/ST
categories) in the qualifying examination or any other examination recognised as
equivalent to Intermediate by the University,Board of Intermediate T.S and Bar
Council of India.
AGE F O R ADMISSION:
There is no age restriction for admission into LLB 3YDC/5 YDC and LL.M
courses." (Interim directions are awarded by the court relaxing the age limit

imposed by BCI in W.P.No. 6691/09, 7610/09 and transfer petition (civil) Nos.
857-866 of 2009)
Mere appearance in T S LAWCET/TSPGLCET 2016 will not give any right
of admission. The candidate should satisfy all the eligibility criteria and
should satisfy rules governing admission as are applicable.
LL.M Course : Candidates holding LL.B./B.L. 3 / 5 y e a r degree on the date
of application and candidates who have appeared/appearing for LL.B./B.L. Final
year examination are also eligible. The Candidates seeking admission into
LL.M. (Private Appearance) of Osmania University, Hyderabad shall have a
minimum experience of 3-years as a Judicial officer or 3-years standing as an
advocate on the date of appearing for TSPGLCET-2016.
The candidates who are appearing for the final year LL.B 3/5 Year degree
examination shall also be eligible to appear for TSPGLCET-2016. However he
should pass at the time of counselling
Qualifying marks in TSLAWCET-2016 is 35%(i.e., 42 marks out
of total 120 marks) and no minimum marks are prescribed for SC/ST
candidates
And
Qualifying marks in TSPGLCET-2016 is 25% (i.e., 30 marks out of total 120
marks)
and no minimum marks are prescribed for SC/ST
candidates.
A candidate appearing for LLB/BL 3/5 year degree examinations may take the
TSPGLCET in anticipation of results. However he should pass at the time of
counselling.
Mere appearance in T S L A W C E T / T S PGLCET will not give any right of
admission. The candidate should satisfy all the eligibility criteria and should
satisfy rules governing admission as are applicable.
d) Admission into any college depends on its Recognition/Affiliation by the Statutory
Bodies.

1. Candidates who wish to apply for TSLAWCET/TSPGLCET-2016 are requested


to fill the particulars carefully in ONLINE APPLICATION. The required
information should be furnished from the relevant documents.
2. Candidates are requested to check the filled in particulars before pressing
SUBMIT button during online application. If candidate wish to change, he/she can
change selecting the EDIT button. After verifying and satisfying, submit the
online application.
3. After submission of online application, if any corrections are to be incorporated,
candidate can login to the website with his details and modify the information. If
candidate wants to change the information which is not allowed on the website,
candidate has to submit their complaint selecting the "SUBMIT COMPLAINT" in
Help Desk provided on the Home Page. Data will be changed only if documentary
evidence is satisfactory. HENCE, CANDIDATES ARE REQUESTED TO FILL THE
ONLINE APPLICATION FORM CAREFULLY.

Candidates indulging in Impersonation are liable for prosecution, inviting a


punishment of imprisonment for 3 to 7 years with or without fine ranging from `
5,000/- to ` 20,000/ The Convener TSLAWCET/TSPGLCET-2016 reserves the right to reject the
application of the candidate at any stage if; (a) the candidate fails to satisfy the
eligibility conditions, and (b) any false or incorrect information is furnished in
online application.
No correspondence for whatsoever reason will be entertained with regard to
rejection of application

Any change whatsoever including that of Caste/Community/Status of category


and regional centre claimed in the Online application form will not be permitted
once the form is registered with the Convener. As per G.O.Ms. No. 58 Social
Welfare Dept., Govt. of A.P. Dt. 12.5.1998, the candidates claiming admission
into this course under reserved quota meant for SC, ST and BC are required to
produce Integrated Community Certificate issued by the competent authority.
ENTRANCE TEST
1. It is advised to visit your allotted Examination Center well before so that you can
take examination tension-free.
2. In Case of TSLAWCET 2016 (3/5 YDC) : The candidate will not be allowed into the
examination hall after 10.00 am i.e. after the commencement of examination.
3. In Case of TSPGLCET 2016 (LLM) : The candidate will not be allowed into the
examination hall after 02.30 pm i.e. after the commencement of examination.
MEDIUM OF TEST
English and Telugu for TSLAWCET-2016, and English only for TSPGLCET-2016
RESULTS: TSLAWCET-2016 (for LL.B. Courses)
a) Qualifying Marks for TSLAWCET-2016: The qualifying percentage of marks in the
Entrance Test is 35% (i.e. 42 marks out of total 120 marks). However, for candidates
belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes, no minimum qualifying
percentage of marks is prescribed.
b) Evaluation & Ranking: Every care will be taken to avoid errors in evaluation,
checking, scrutiny, tabulation and ranking. Hence, request for re-totaling or
revaluation or personal identification of scripts will not be entertained.
The Candidates will be ranked in the order of merit based on the marks obtained in
the TSLAWCET-2016. In case of tie the relative rank will be decided as mentioned
below:
i) By considering the marks secured in Part-C of T S LAWCET and if the tie
still persists marks obtained in Part-B in TSLAWCET shall be taken into
consideration.
ii) If the tie still persists they may be bracketed together for the purpose of ranking
and seniority in age may be considered at the time of admission.
c) Rank obtained in TSLAWCET-2016 is valid for admission into 3 year / 5 year
Law Courses, as the case may be, for the academic year 2016-2017 only.
d) The Candidates are advised to download the Rank Card from the web site
www.tslawcet.org after one week of the publication of results. In case of the
any difficulty downloading the Rank Card the candidates are advised to contact
theConveners office.

RESULTS: TSPGLCET-2016 (for LL.M Courses)


a) Qualifying Marks for TSPGLCET-2016: The qualifying percentage of marks in the
Entrance Test is 25% (i.e. 30 marks out of total 120 marks). However, for
candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes, no minimum
qualifying percentage of marks is prescribed
b) Evaluation & Ranking: Every care will be taken to avoid errors in evaluation,
checking, scrutiny, tabulation and ranking. Hence, request for retotalling or
revaluation or personal identification of scripts will not be entertained.
c) The Candidates will be ranked as per the total marks obtained in the Entrance Test.
If there is a tie in total marks, the marks obtained in Part-A of Entrance Test will
be considered for awarding the rank. If the tie persists they may be bracketed
together for the purpose of ranking and seniority in age may be considered at the
time of admission.
d) Rank obtained in TSPGLCET-2016 is valid for admission into LL.M. Courses, as
the case may be, for the academic year 2016-2017 only.
e) Rank Card will not be sent by post. The candidates are advised to Download the
Rank Card from the web site www.tslawcet.org
The OMR answer scripts of candidates appearing the TSLAWCET/TSPGLCET-2016
will be preserved for six months from the date of announcement of
TSLAWCET/TSPGLCET-2016 results.
The conduct of TSLAWCET/TSPGLCET-2016 is subject to orders and instructions
issued from time to time by the Government of Telangana and Telangana State Council
of Higher Education.
All disputes arising out of any matter concerning TSLAWCET/TSPGLCET-2016 shall
be subject to the jurisdiction of TS/AP High Court only. In such disputes, only the
Convener, TSLAWCET/TSPGLCET-2016 and the Secretary, TSCHE can be impleaded
as respondents.
