Research question:
Would moving from government aided institute to private aided institute help Lord
Krishna Polytechnic Institute to increase their profits?
Rationale:
Lord Krishna institute, a government aided institution that has lasted over 3 years,
consistently strives to find ways to increase profits. The opportunity exists when Lord
Krishna Polytechnic Institute will change into private aided institution as it will help them
to increase their consumer base. The decisions that Lord Krishna Polytechnic Institute
now faces is - to change into private aided institution or continue the government aided
institution.
Theoretical framework:
In order to fully evaluate the pros and cons of movement from a government aided
institution to private aided institution and answer my research question, I plan to take
into consideration both financial and non-financial information in my evaluation for Lord
Krishna institute. I will prepare a relevant SWOT analysis and a force field analysis and
a decision tree in order to evaluate all the aspects of movement.

Methodology:
The procedure of study was carried-out at primary research and secondary research
level.
Primary research:
1. Interview owner of Lord Krishna Polytechnic Institute, Mr. Anil Malhotra, to know
about the budget of movement.
2. Conduct a focus group among principal, personnel and managers of Lord
Krishna Polytechnic Institute which will help me know the current situation,
strategies, current market position and competitions, their personal view and
students which have to be targeted.
3. Conduct a survey about needs and wants among some students with same
characteristics as targeted students.

Secondary research:
1) Examine Lord Krishna Polytechnic Institutes publicized cash flow statement,
balance statement and income statement to determine its overall financial
position and ability to finance the movement.
2) I will use internet to review and analyze the needs and wants of different market
segment of students which will be targeted.
