said school was rebuilt but unfortunately it was burned again during the Second World War and closed its operation
indefinitely.
On the Liberation period, it was again on its operation and it was housed in three places namely: Balanga Power

Many years have passed. The school was built in Balanga Plaza because of the Philippine Rehablitation Act of
1946.The school was named, Arellano Memorial High School in memory of the first Philippine Judge Cayetano
Arellano from Orion, Bataan. Because of the existence of Arellano High School in Manila, the name of the school
was changed to Arellano Memorial Bataan High School.
During the leadership of Mrs. Rizalina Joco as Principal, Arellano Memorial Bataan High School was named to
Bataan High School and later became Bataan National High School, our school today, due to change of funds from
Provincial to National. Mrs. Rizalina Joco was succeeded by Mr. Rodolfo Malixi who was then the Assistant Principal
and eventually last 1983 Dr Simeona B. Emata who was then Miss Simeona N. Borela, Head of Mathematics
Department was promoted as Principal of the School. Due to some incident that happened in the school, Dr Emata
was force to leave the school. Assistant Superintendents and Principals were assigned at a time as officer-in-charge
of the school.
The new building of Bataan National High School was built at the Roman Superhighway on 1985 with the help of
USAID Economic Support Fund. From then the number of classrooms and laboratories have been increasing. The
DOST provided one storey building with two Science Laboratory Rooms. The school offered Special Science
Curriculum where the students undergo qualifying examination.
The two-storey building of sixteen classrooms was built thru the effort of Congressman Tet Garcia.
Through Senator Ramon Magsaysay, the school gym was built which was inaugurated last March 1998 and was
named after him of whom the 82nd Commencement Exercises was conducted at the said gym where Senator
Magsaysay was the Guest Speaker.
The Bataan National High School was awarded as Division Leader School on 1992 and on the same year, the Bataan
National High School Multi Purpose Cooperative ( BNHS-MPC) was established.
On October 6, 2000, Senator Aquino Oreta gave 22 units of computer for the School of the Future. Mrs. Leticia A.
Orpiano was then the officer-in-charge of the school.
Year 2001, Dr. Simeona B. Emata reported back to Bataan National High School as Principal. On the same year,
there had been additional 18 teachers from City School Board and Provincial School Board. The supports of the
external and internal stakeholders have been very visible in all its undertakings towards the success of the school in
all aspects.
At present, the Bataan National High School is offering five curricula namely: Basic Education Curriculum (BEC),
Special Science Curriculum (SSC), Strengthened Tech Voc Curriculum, Special Program in the Arts (SPA) and Special
