valued at over $400 per person.

Discover the Land of the Pharaohs

Majestic and awe-inspiring - Egypt is a constant source of amazement for visitors. At the crossroads of
civilisation where everything seems to be on an impossibly grand scale – rich culture and history spanning
thousands of years, regal temples, archaeological splendours and vast deserts. Whilst flowing through the
centre of the nation is its eternal lifeblood, the mighty Nile River.

A Wealth Of Highlights
You’ll be astounded by the sophistication of the Roman Empire when you visit Alexandria, the former
capital. Marvel at the sights of the Great Pyramids of Giza and the enigmatic Sphinx and return that evening
to witness the nighttime mystery with the ‘Sound and Light’ show. Spend the morning at the Egyptian
Museum which is home to the most extensive collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities in the world.
Your luxurious Nile Cruise includes a visit to ‘the Jewel of the Nile’ – the exquisite Temple of Isis rising
from the river at Philae. The hedonistic pleasures of resort living on the Red Sea are a fitting end to your
Egyptian sojourn.

Exclusive Inclusions
On arrival at the magnificent Sofitel Old Winter Palace in Luxor, you’ll be treated to an exclusive private
morning tea. Discover life on the Nile during your visit to a local Nubian Village and learn the secrets
of henna applications. At the Egyptian Museum you’ll enter the Royal Mummy Room, containing royal
mummies from pharaonic times, including the newly discovered Queen Hatshepsut. The Grand Palace at
the Cairo Marriott is a wonderful setting for your exclusive final dinner.

The Palace Hotels of Egypt

Only Scenic Tours include stays at Egypt’s three Palace Hotels. The Mena House Oberoi in Cairo is nestled
beneath the great pyramids of Giza and your room will have Pyramid Views. This palatial hotel has played
host to kings and emperors, heads of state and celebrities. Its royal history is reflected in luxurious interiors
that are embellished with exquisite antiques and handcrafted furniture. The Sofitel Old Winter Palace in
Luxor was built in 1886 in ornate Victorian style and languishes on the banks of the Nile in luxuriant
tropical gardens. A magnificent palace built in 1869 is the centrepiece of the Cairo Marriott Hotel. Built
for the wife of Napoleon Bonaparte, Princess Eugenie, and opened for the inauguration of the Suez Canal
in 1869, this landmark hotel is set in six acres of serene palace gardens and your room will have views
of the mighty Nile River.

Luxury Hotels in Jordan and Dubai

In Jordan, the newly refurbished Le Méridien Amman is located in the centre of the Shmeisani district,
a short walk from the Citadel and shopping areas. The Jordan Valley Marriott Resort and Spa is perched
on the eastern shores of the Dead Sea and features luxurious surroundings, majestic views and incredible
sunsets. Overlooking the rose-red cliffs of the dramatic Petra valley, the Petra Marriott Hotel is a haven
of comfort, luxury and warm Arabian hospitality. The new Sofitel Dubai Jumeirah Beach is located in the
heart of Dubai’s chic Jumeirah Beach area. This beachfront luxury hotel offers breathtaking sea views from

Luxurious Nile River Cruises

Cruising down the mighty Nile River is the only way to appreciate the incredible influence this waterway
has held over Egypt for thousands of years. When you travel with Scenic Tours to Egypt, cruise in comfort
and style onboard the newest ships on the Nile in your included 3 or 4 night Nile cruise. Your floating
hotel creates the perfect atmosphere to leisurely explore the same route as the Pharoah’s in their stately
processions along the Nile.

The Newest Luxury Cruise Ships On The Nile

Scenic Tours guests will cruise aboard the Nile’s newest luxury ships launching in November 2009.
Offering a 5-star experience in every respect, Jaz Legacy and Jaz Minerva are uniquely elegant. Watch
feluccas glide past from the sun deck, or take a dip in the roof top pool. The ships’ opulent lounges and
bars provide the perfect place to relax, or enjoy high tea each afternoon served on the Sun Deck. Dine in
an unhurried atmosphere in the main restaurant. The ship’s experienced chefs prepare fresh continental,
regional and traditional Egyptian cuisine. Evening entertainment includes the Captain’s welcome party and
Egyptian themed parties, music and dancing. Your individually controlled, air-conditioned cabin features
large panoramic sliding windows, satellite TV, mini bar, safe and ensuite bathroom.

Astonishing Temples And Monuments

Cruise between Luxor and Aswan and discover a series of imposing archaeological sites and the jewel in
the crown - the Valley of the Kings. The complex of temples at Karnak is the most extensive ever built and
construction took more than 13 centuries to complete. Luxor Temple is an enigma, standing in the middle
of the city, on the banks of the Nile and by night the floodlit temple is an irresistible lure. Cruising up the
Nile you visit some of the best preserved temples in Egypt and your Egyptologist will accompany you on
personalised guided tours of each site, enriching your experience with expert commentary.

Luxury Lake Nasser Cruising

Lake Nasser is Egypt’s “hidden secret” – its shores are the site of ancient monuments which were
destined to be submerged by the completion of the Aswan High Dam. UNESCO initiated an amazing
rescue project to move these key monuments. Most of the Lake Nasser monuments can only be accessed
by water, which makes cruising here a particularly special experience. With relatively few vessels cruising
the lake, it’s a tranquil oasis watched over by man-made edifices and populated with crocodiles and an
abundance of exotic birdlife. Your Egyptologist will take you on fascinating private guided tours of the key
monuments visited on your cruise.

A Unique and Luxurious Ship

The ms Omar El-Khayam was designed specifically to cruise Lake Nasser. Launched in 2008 it is by far
the most luxurious ship cruising the lake. Experience a truly luxurious, one-of-a-kind vessel, on your three
night journey in true 5-star luxury. Every stateroom has a large panoramic window which opens onto a
private balcony perfect for sitting back and watching the serene waters pass by. Stateroom interiors are
spacious with the latest entertainment systems and lavish decorations. Abu Nawas restaurant offers an
enticing mix of Egyptian and international cuisine. Relax in one of two air-conditioned lounge bars or on
the large sundeck by the swimming pool and Jacuzzi. For the more active on board enjoy the facilities of
the Cleopatra Spa and Health Club.

Private Charter Flight Included

On tours incorporating a Lake Nasser cruise Scenic Tours include a Private Charter flight direct from
Cairo to breathtaking Abu Simbel and the temples of Ramses II and his queen Nefertari. Not only will you
experience the monuments in daylight, during the evening, you’ll also witness a spectacular sound and
light show, included as part of your program.

The Treasures of Ancient Jordan

The intriguing Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is a relatively young country, that can claim host to some
of the oldest civilizations in the world. Discover the paved streets and hilltop temples of Jerash, where
people have lived for more than 6,500 years. Join your Tour Director for a walking tour through Amman’s
old city and visit the oldest market in Jordan. Travel the Kings Highway visiting the site where Jesus was
baptised at ‘Bethany Beyond The Jordan’. Then stand where Moses died atop Mount Nebo and admire
the breathtaking view over the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea.

Petra and the Dead Sea

Scenic Tours’ guests will take a full day guided tour of Petra, often described as the eighth wonder of
the ancient world, it is without doubt Jordan’s most valuable treasure. Entrance to this UNESCO World
Heritage site is through the narrow carved “siq” flanked on either side by enormous 80 metre high
dazzling cliffs. The stunning facade of the Treasury is your gateway to this unique city, carved into the
sheer rock face by the Nabataeans. At the end of your tour enjoy an overnight stay on the shores of the
Dead Sea where you may float in the warm, incredibly buoyant and mineral-rich waters.

Scenic Enrich Exclusive Inclusions

A local family will welcome you to dinner in their home in Amman and during the evening you’ll learn
about Jordanian lifestyle and culture. During your walking tour of the old city you’ll stop at one of the
oldest coffee shops in Amman. En route to Madaba visit a local mosaic workshop for a demonstration
of the intricate techniques used in designing the mosaic floors. Witness the awe-inspiring spectacle of
Petra by Night, when 1,800 candles illuminate the way through the city. Our farewell dinner is not to be
missed – a mouth-watering meal will be served as you relax on an open-air deck with endless views of
the Dead Sea.

by side with skyscrapers, sensational shopping malls and manmade islands. During your sojourn in Dubai
there’s time to relax by the pool of your luxury hotel and to shop for gold and jewellery.
