Scandinavia: Cup Cosy (Mug warmer)

STEP 1:

Make the first loop onto knitting needle as shown in the illustrations in this step.

STEP 2:

Start with taking up loops as shown until you get 12 of them onto one needle. Repeat the process 12 more
times to get 12 more loops on the other needle as shown in the illustration.

STEP 3:

Repeat step 2 twice to get loops on all four knitting needles as shown in the illustration.

STEP 4:

Knit the first row in right pleated stitch. Take a 5th needle and begin at the first loop and take out the thread
from last loop, so that needles build a square and the knitted piece will form a tube. Repeat the step until you
have an 11cm long pattern.

STEP 5:

Finish by closing the loops as shown in the magnifiers and work through the entire tube in a circular motion
until you reach the end of the loops. Leave 5cm of thread and cut the remaining thread off, then pull the
thread through the last loop.

STEP 6:

With the help of a needle, sew the left over threads well so that they are hidden inside of the mug warmer.

STEP 7:

With a pin, mark the points where the CRYSTALLIZED Swarovski Elements will later be sewn. As shown in
the illustration they should be 2.5cm below the upper border and should have a gap of 3cm each between
them. Repeat the step to mark the places for all the other crystals.

STEP 8:

Cut 1m from the 0.25mm nylon thread and sew it on the backside of the knitted piece as shown in the
illustration. Cut off the thread from one end and come over to the front where the first set of pins lie and
slide on the CRYSTALLIZED Pendant 6670.

STEP 9: Go through the hole three times and continue with the same thread inserting 8 more of the CRYSTALLIZED
Pendants as shown in the illustration.
STEP 10: Knot the tread and then cut off the left-over thread. Insert a mug inside the finished mug warmer.
