    3. BooksmaybemarkedasReferenceBooksfromtimetotimeforspecificdurations
    (forexample,asemester).Theycannotbeissuedtousersandmustbeusedwithin
    thelibrary.
    4. ParttimeHUSSPh.D.studentsandoutsiderswithavalidIITDelhiIDcanuselibrary
    resourceswithinthelibrarybutcannotissuebooks.
    5. UserswillberegisteredintoLibsysforavailingbookissueserviceseverysemester.
    Registrationwillnotbedoneifthereareoverduefinesinausersaccount.
    6. ProgressreportsofresearchscholarswillnotbeforwardedtothePGsectionifthey
    haveoverduefinesattheendofeverysemester.
    7. NoDuesCertificate:Attimeofgraduation(forresearchscholars)andleavingthe
    institute(forfaculty),a"NoDues"certificatefromthelibrarywillberequired.This
    willnotbeissuedunderanycircumstancesiftherearebooksissuedagainstausers
    nameand/orthereareunpaidfinesintheuser'saccount.
    8. Bookscannotberenewed/reissuedthroughemailortelephone.Usersmust
    physicallypresentthebooksandsignintheregister.

    TheserulesmaybemodifiedfromtimetotimebytheDepartmentLibraryCommittee.

    ResponsibilitiesofLibraryUsers

    InordertopreservetheHUSSlibrarycollectionandtoensureongoingaccesstoit,
    usersareexpectedtorespecttherulesandregulationsarounduseoflibrary
    materialsandpropertyandtoassistintheprotectionoflibrarymaterials.Itis
    prohibitedtoremovematerialsorpropertyfromthelibrarywithoutauthorisation
    andtodestroy,deface,orabuselibrarymaterialsorproperty.

    Everyuserofthelibraryhasaresponsibilityto:
    safeguardtheintegrityoflibraryresources;
    respecttherestrictionsplacedonaccesstoanduseofthoseresources;
    respecttherightsofotherstothequietuseofthelibrary;and
    respecttheauthorityofthelibrarianwhosejobitistoprotectlibrary
    resources.

    Userswhofailtocomplywithlibraryrulesandregulationsaresubjecttorevocation
    oflibraryprivilegesandotherdisciplinaryactionbytheDepartmentLibrary
    Committee.Alllibraryusersaresubjecttolibraryfines.
