THE BEATLES

The Beatles were all "children of war". They were born between 1940 and 1943
in Liverpool.
They grew up in England who lived times of austerity.
When rationing ended, they were just a few adolescents, and at the same time
began to listen to on the radio Elvis Presley

Attacks on merchant fleet in England during World War II led to the shortage of
food, so that was instituted in the country, food rationing in 1940.
This rationing had to continue until 1954, when the meat finally stopped being
on the list of rationed foods.
Sugar and sweeteners others ceased to be rationed in 1953.

Band originally composed by John Lennon and several of his classmates, the
"Quarrymen" took their name from Quarry Bank school high school, where they
attended all of them.

It was the time when the "skiffle" music and rhythm was the fashion craze. The
most prominent exponent of this style was Lonnie Donegan.
The "skiffle" was a mixture of English folk music with the rhythm of the "blues".
Paul McCartney joined the band in October 1957 and then invited his friend
George Harrison, who joined the band in March 1958
In May 1960, it joins wing band Stuart Sutcliffe, who besides being bassist had
studied at art college in Liverpool, where at age 19 he was considered as the
most talented and promising student of painting. He also was writing poetry.
It is in those early days of the band when the humorous contribution of Stuart
is given for the creation of the Beatles term (those who make music beat),
along with Lennon, using the pun that resulted from "beetles", like the name of
a Holly buddy group "crickets"
Pete Best was the original drummer for the Beatles. Played with the band
during their stay in the top clubs in Liverpool and Hamburg, Germany.

The band during this period were composed of five Beatles drummer Pete Best,
Stuart Sutcliffe on bass and guitarists Paul McCartney, George Harrison and
John Lennon
While Sutcliffe left the band in 1961 (and died shortly after), continuous best
performing with the band until 1962 when it was replaced by ringo starr.
Liverpool and hamburg in these two ports in England and Germany was where
the Beatles learned the tricks of the trade.
In Hamburg they had to play six or more continuous hours per night.
Play a wide repertoire of rock and roll music for clubs and shows hits.
Brian Epstein was an English businessman, mainly known for his role as
manager of the Beatles.
At a meeting on December 10, 1961 it was decided that Epstein became the
manager of the band and signed a contract with for 5 years. become Epstein is
one of the forces behind main promotion and initial success of the group.

When Epstein took over the band convinces them to take suit on stage and
stop using denim and leather jackets.
After being rejected by case basis by all major record labels in England. Epstein
finally got the band signed with Parlophone label small company EMI.
Parlophone producer George Martin agreed to meet acceded to the group and
planned a hearing test.

All except Pete Best passed the test Beatles, who decided to replace martin
recordings by a studio musician.
After this incident, Pete left the band and took his place in the formation Ringo
Starr
The Beatles made very good team with George Martin, who was surprised that
two members of the band, Lennon and McCartney, could compose their own
songs.
The first single "Love Me Do" went on sale in October 1962, and went on the
popularity list at number 17, mainly supported for sales in liverpool.
his first album "Please Please Me" was engraved on a single 12-hour session, I
include 8 original compositions of Lennon / McCartney and 6 songs by other
authors. went on sale in March 1963

1968-1970.Abbey Road was the last album recorded but left before Let It Be.
So in the end John formed the group and himself dissolved.

There was dismay at the news world, but it was a decision taken, giving
permission for some time, it was the end of an era, a full decade, it was the end
of the Beatles.
