•BUILDING OPEN TOMORROW – Not only is it Groundhog’s Day, but the school will be open from 9am-12:59pm. If you are
going to come in note: A. the power goes of at 12:59 and B. PLEASE NOTIFY JOSH BY THE END OF THE SCHOOL TODAY
THAT YOU PLAN TO COME IN!!!

• CITYWIDE BUDGET CUTS! All schools budgets have been cut by 1.75 % and for that reason please check in with Maggie
about recently placed orders, some will be need to be pared down, others will need to be cancelled.

• Feb 6 Josh will be out of the building during the school day for a Network Principal meeting.

• Feb 7 David Kirkland from NYU will be in the building to discuss the possibility of NYU funded “Learning Leaders” (aka Master’s
Students) who do targeted tutoring in various subjects.

• Feb 8 Jan (Network Leader) & Mara (Network Achievement Manager) will be in the building possibly visiting with classes and
meeting with Admin Team about the PPR.

• MISSING HSST FORMS!!!: Please e-mail forms to Steph ASAP.

• MID YEAR REVIEWS WITH JOSH &/or STEPH BEGIN FEB 5th – The following people still need to sign up for their meeting
with Maggie: Chido, Amanda B, Kyle, Karl, Nate, Carlos, Dani, Algiers, Kim, Angel, Laura, Lorraine, Aaron, Gary, Yaletza

• Yaletza will be rejoining staff after maternity leave Monday Feb. 4. All reports are that she and her new son Jaylen are happy
and healthy!

• Feb 27&28 Josh will be out of the building for Admin training.

• 2nd Floor Technology Update: Bethany will be using one set of laptop carts on the 2nd Floor every 3rd Period for the
foreseeable future, and also that teachers need to see me if they wish to use the laptop cart on the 2nd Floor

• ORDERING MATERIALS? Maggie will to process larger FAMIS orders for second semester. Purchase request forms are orange
and on file in 206 and were attached to the 1.18 agenda. Maggie would like all major orders turned in by FEB 15, 2008!!

•HEADS UP! Many visitors will continue to come by BK in the upcoming months for various reasons. Sometimes, due to the nature
of these visitors’ schedules we can’t always give the kind of advance notice some might like. To those ends it is important to
remember your classroom is a public space and you should always be putting your best pedagogical foot forward every day
with or without an outside observer. COMING SOON: a visit from the Council of School Supervisors and Administrators President
Ernie Logan. Date and time TBA.

•PARTICIPATE! If you have an announcement you would like to make in the Wed or Fri announcements please send your
announcement to Ryan as soon as possible. Also, please send quotes and cartoons for Wed agendas - I would love to use words
and images you pass along.
