Reminders & Announcements

•SHOUT OUT: Impressive feedback on the level of professionalism exhibited by all the presenters during Health
Awareness Day. Student feedback was positive and powerful about the event. Staff and students did a wonderful job of
supporting Amelia and Cassandra’s work. High Five for the whole staff!
•THURS or FRI 11.8&9 – All teachers please attend one 30-minute informational session about the BK Special Ed Program
during lunch (11:45-12:15) in room 205 (Gail’s Room). Participation will be worth two PD3 points. NOTE: Cookies will be served,
but do bring your lunch.
•MOCK SQR FROM OCT 24 IS NOW A POP SQR - Sorry for the inconvenience but look for the POP SQR between Nov 4-9.
•HEADS UP: School Report Cards will be printed this week in the newspaper (see Maggie’s 11.5.07 e-mail). Should any
parents ask you about our grade, we received a B.
• THANKSGIVING BANQUET: GAME ON! We will have the annual Thanksgiving Day banquet Wed Nov. 21 BUT due to size
limitations it will be ONLY BK STUDENTS & FAMILIES in the Cafeteria.
• THURSDAY OCT, 8: Daisy Fontanez-Lutsky Principal of New Day Academy will be shadowing Joshua for the day.
•REMINDER+CAL CHANGE: PD Cohort Round #3 will be Nov 28, 29, and 30th. Nate will be observed in Amanda Hunter’s
spot on W 11.28 6th Hour - Hunter has flipped to R 12.06 – 7th Period
•WEEKLY ATTENDANCE SHEETS (SPAT) ARE IN YOUR MAILBOXES – Be sure to double-check and update your “salmon
sheets” weekly.
•ADVISORS – Please be sure that ALL advisory student parents have been contacted via phone or mail. Hopefully, your
Parent/Teacher night form letters will help parents contact you. If you do not make contact with a parent by Nov. 9 please send an
e-mail to Josh letting him know who you have been unable to reach and how many times you have tried to contact them.
