Therefore, a work of literature, in general, contains about problem of human life. The
appearance of literature was born and the background of the basic human to reveal the

literatureis : the novel/short story (written/oral), poem, dirty,drama,kaligrafi.
Drama is one of literature that very populer until know. Even in this day and age there
has been a very rapid development in the field of theater. For example movies,operas,
and the other performances that depict the life of another living creature.
Based on the reviews in, the writers make this paper to help reader who want to
pursue the drama.
B. Purpose
The pupose of the paper is give detail information about the steps that we do before a

A. Definition of Drama
The drama came from the greek Draomoi whoch means acting,in the effect,act and
so on. The drama is life which is symbolised with motion. Conflictof human nature is
a sourceof the drama.

term sandiwara. Drama is a form of literature that has a section for, played by actors.
Kosakata is derived from the greek meaning action, deed. Drama can be realized
with a variety of media : on the stage,film and television. Drama sometimes also
combinated with music,dance as an opera. Drama also sometimes calledby playing a
role.
B. Elements of Drama
a. Script

b. Stage

c. Blocking
Blocking is the position of the body when the stage. In a drama ,blocking that are
either highly necessary, because its the time we play should always control our
bodies so as not to damage the blocking. blocking must be
balanced,whole,varied,has the focus ,obvious,not hesitete,convincing and have
point the center of attention as well as reasonable. All of which have the
understanding that motion is carried out dont half and a half and not to over do it.

d. Character
Character is the nature of players who played in the drama. There are three
character in the drama, that is :
1. Antagonis, which is the main character pretending to evil
2. The Protagonis is the main character keep good behavior
3. Tritagonis, which is the main character who acted as the maid.
Also based on its function in the plot of figures can be classified into three kinds:

1. even the figures that serves as a movement the story line

2. of the figures that serves as a movement the story line

e. Stories
The story is the events that be in form of text or through oral. Usually,the story
made with the sequence of events called the plot. The devided into three,namely :

f. Language
That is language is used in the deliberately chosen the author with the focus of its
function as a means of communication. Every author used in a drma script writing
in general is the language is easy to understand (to have characters
communicative) namely a variety of languageto be used in the live of everyday
life. It relates to the environmental situation, social,cultural, and education. The
languange use was chosen in such a way for the pupose of the drama, and teh
dialogs going on between the leaders of the story.
g. Property
Property is an equipment that is needed in the play a drama or the movie. For
example : chairs,table,robots,ornate space,decoration,and others.
C. Types of drama
a. Comedy
Comedy are lighter in tone than ordinary writers, and provide a happy conclusion.
The intention of dramatists in comedies is to make their audience laugh. Hence,
they use quaint circumstances,unusual characters and witty remarks.
b. Tragedy
Tragedy drama use darker themes such as disaster,pain and death.protagonists
often have a tragic flaw a characteristic that leads them to their downfall.
c. Farce
Generally, a farce is a nonsensical genre of drama,which often overacts or engages
slaptick humor
d. Melodrama
Melodrama is an exaggerated drama which is sensational and appeals directly to
the senses of audience. Just like the farce,the characters are of single dimension
and simple or may be stereotyped.
e. Musical drama

In the musical drama,the dramatists not only tell their story through acting and
dialogue,neverthless through dance as well as music. Often the story may be
comedic,though it may also involve serious subjects.
D. Example of Drama
Fuji and Riris is a good friend. They had been friends since childhood, but one day
when the Ririss Family has impoverished, Fuji was no longer wish to be friends with
Riris. When Fuji, Riris,Hilda,Rumana and Juliana was cleaning the class before going
to home, Riris asking to Fuji for help, but Fuji insulting Riris.
Riris

: fuji, can you help me to move this table?

Fuji

:What? Help?! Do you think you are?

Riris

:Whats with you Fuji ? Arent we friends? Do youve forgetten?

Fuji
